Nice stay once we arrived less good beforehand
Pros:

The room was well decorated and the facilities were as described in the booking. The location was ideal for us as we wanted to be based in Leith rather than Central Edinburgh.

Cons:

We didn't like the amount of emails we received in advance of our stay requesting additional information (some after we'd already submitted the informarion required!). We also didn't like the email received the day before we arrived which appeared to indicate we could get an early check-in for free but when we confirmed we would like this there was a £20 charge. Finally, we found the storage lockers unreliable and difficult to operate - although once we did get them to work they were very useful.

Fantastic location and facilities. Beautiful building. Problems with the plumbing!
Pros:

Lovely building and room in Leith. Very comfy beds and beautifully clean.

Cons:

The toilet started running after we arrived and the issue was not resolved. Given the proximity of the bed to the bathroom it wasn’t great. We were however offered a partial refund after emailing and calling.

Pros:

Struttura molto accogliente e camera moderna con mobili nuovi. Ottimo sistema di check in automatico.
5 minuti a piedi da una fermata del tram, ideale per un weekend a Edimburgo.

Cons:

Il lavandino del bagno nella stanza Duncun era molto piccolo e si faceva difficoltà a utilizzarlo. Ci sono comunque stanze più grandi che si possono scegliere.

It was an amazing room. We would most definitely stay again!
Pros:

It was an amazing room. The whole ambiance & decor were amazing. We stayed one night on our way through Edinburgh on our honeymoon and there was a rose petal heart on the bed and a lovely bottle of Prosecco with the sweetest congrats note. I wish we could’ve stayed longer, but it was an amazing night. All the amenities were just perfect!!

A perfect stay with exceptional comfort, thoughtful details, and wonderful hospitality.
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel during our wedding in Edinburgh, and honestly, I could not have imagined a better place to stay for such a special occasion.

We stayed in the Valentine Room, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The large bed was perfect, and having a sofa and armchairs made the room feel even more welcoming and relaxing. I was especially impressed by the bathroom – it was much larger than expected, beautifully maintained, and featured a wonderful bathtub that I thoroughly enjoyed using during our stay.

It is clear that every detail in the room has been carefully thought through. I would describe the owner as exceptionally caring and attentive. From the very beginning of our stay, we felt truly special and well looked after. Everything we could possibly need was provided, including large fluffy towels, bathrobes, delicious coffee, quality tea, a clothes steamer, and many other thoughtful touches that made our stay even more comfortable.

The cleanliness was outstanding, and the entire property felt warm, welcoming, and exceptionally well cared for.

We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh, and we will definitely return in the future. Thank you for making our stay so memorable and for being a part of such a special and important moment in our lives.

Stylish and immaculately clean!
Pros:

The room was very stylish and the bed very comfortable and big. We enjoyed all the nice details such as the good selection of teas and bathrobes.

Cons:

The luggage room system was complicated and the locking system didn’t work well. In order to use the plugs by the bed you had to move the bedside tables out, but that was easily done.

If you love to walk everything was walking distance, we walked everywhere but just up the road there was a trams and buses so you could buy a ticket to hop on and off

Pros:

The staff was very helpful, fast and kind in answering our questions. The room was simply beautiful and clean, and it had everything we needed. I found this stay very comfy and I was sorry to leave!
