really nice and welcoming manager! affordable and flexible:
i arrived earlier than the check-in time. they did not have any available rooms, he told me he will let me in earlier as soon a guest checks out and offered me something to drink. at around 11 O'clock i was in a room :)

My stay at Sera hotel
Pros:

The staff were nice, friendly and helpful when asked for help.
Most important thing for me was safety, I felt really safe as a female solo traveler. Safe neighborhood also.
Room/Lobby was clean, warm and comfortable. Showering there was good also.
Location was perfect, it was close to groceries, to exchange offices, to transportation, to diners, Turkishcell... Everything I needed.
The wifi also was good 24/7.
I really recommend this hotel for my fellow PhD students, who are coming for internships, or for tourists on budget too.

Cons:

Two things only, the fridge didn't work properly and there were few baby cockroaches that's all.

I like the location
Pros:

Location. It's near everything especially the tramway T1 and Yenicapi metro station.

Cons:

There is no lift in the hotel. The breakfast is very simple.
