Wir können dieses Hotel wirklich nur weiterempfehlen.

Schon bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr positiv überrascht. Obwohl wir deutlich früher angekommen sind, durften wir bereits zwei Stunden vor der eigentlichen Check-in-Zeit ohne Aufpreis einchecken. Das war unglaublich freundlich und überhaupt nicht selbstverständlich.

Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und insgesamt wirklich schön. Für unseren persönlichen Geschmack war es lediglich etwas zu klein. Deshalb sind wir zur Rezeption gegangen und haben nach einem größeren Zimmer gefragt.

Die Mitarbeiter haben uns sofort weitergeholfen und erklärt, wie hoch der Aufpreis wäre. Dabei haben wir festgestellt, dass es günstiger wäre, das größere Zimmer noch einmal über Booking.com zu buchen, als direkt vor Ort die Differenz zu bezahlen.

Und genau hier hat uns das Hotel wirklich beeindruckt. Anstatt darauf zu bestehen, dass wir den höheren Preis direkt im Hotel bezahlen, haben die Mitarbeiter uns angeboten, unsere bestehende Buchung kostenlos zu stornieren, damit wir das größere Zimmer selbst über Booking.com günstiger buchen konnten und dadurch Geld sparen.

Ganz ehrlich – die meisten Hotels hätten das nicht gemacht. Viele hätten einfach auf den höheren Aufpreis bestanden. Hier hatte man jedoch das Gefühl, dass den Mitarbeitern wirklich wichtig war, dass wir die beste Lösung bekommen und nicht, dass das Hotel möglichst viel verdient. Diese Ehrlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft hat uns wirklich beeindruckt.

Auch sonst hat das Hotel einen sehr gepflegten und sauberen Eindruck hinterlassen. Es gibt Waschmaschinen, eine Mikrowelle, alles ist ordentlich und die Zimmer sind sauber und komfortabel. Die Lage ist ebenfalls hervorragend – zentral gelegen und ideal, um Kagoshima zu erkunden.

Wenn wir noch einmal nach Kagoshima reisen, würden wir ohne zu überlegen wieder dieses Hotel buchen.

綺麗で、大浴場もあり、ランドリールームもあって、朝食も美味しくて大満足だった。交通の便も良かった。ウェルカムドリンクも美味しくて、自宅用に水だし緑茶も購入してしまった。

Cons:

カードホルダーからカードを抜くと電気が切れてしまうので、エアコンが止まってしまい、この真夏に、ご飯に行って帰ってきたり、大浴場に行って帰ってくるとかだけで部屋が温室になってしまって、また部屋が冷えるのに時間がかかるのが良くなかった、

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Oriental Express Kagoshima Tenmonkan. The hotel has an excellent central location, with convenient access to public transport. The staff were friendly, the facilities were nice, and the price offered very good value. Our room was also quiet and clean.

The room was quite small, but this is typical for hotels in Japan. A special mention must go to the pillow. It was genuinely the best hotel pillow I have slept on in years, and I am now seriously considering buying one for myself!

Overall, it was a comfortable and affordable place to stay, and we would happily recommend it.
