Our room was ok. We had a partial sea view. The best part of our stay was the location of the hotel, and the attentivene
Pros:

The staff were extremely polite and helpful. They all tried very hard to be of service to me and to my disabled husband.

Cons:

The hotel is not suitable for anyone with restricted mobility. Double doors to negotiate then at least one flight of 14 stairs. We were in room 10. From outside the main entrance, we had to negotiate 6 doors and one flight of stairs before we arrived at our room.
We ate at the buffet, and most dishes were cold or lukewarm. There is an elevator which should operate from the first floor, but it was out of order.

Lovely old style hotel conveniently located to city centre.
Pros:

Convenient location with great sea view. Short walk to city centre. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Awkward parking arrangements. Hotel parking was minimal which meant some juggling between parking lot and restricted free parking times on street.

Luxury stay in a prime location. Shame there was no lift in the hotel!
Pros:

On arrival we were informed that we had been upgraded to the Queen Mary Suite on the 3rd. floor.
It was a lovely suite overlooking the bay. We could see the ferries coming and going.

Cons:

There was no lift in the hotel and it was quite a climb up many stairs to the 3rd. floor!
I have Parkinson’s and found the stairs very difficult. As we were only there for one night, we didn’t complain.
The hotel would benefit greatly if it had a lift.

Was very enjoyable
Pros:

Beds were very comfortable and complementary water and fruit was a nice touch there was also bath robes but we. never used them The staff are very good can’t help you enough

Cons:

The fan from the kitchen was outside our window ,went on at 6 am ,and there was of smell of the food cooking. But people should be aware there is an annexe at the back so check what room your booking we paid for delux rooms

Had a pleasant stay but thought the standard was more 3* than 4*

I didn’t have breakfast but had dinner one evening which was well cooked but simple.

Great location. Clean and comfortable. A little bit over priced
Pros:

Got an upgrade. Room was big. Bed was comfortable and clean. Jacuzzi was a nice touch. Alll facilities were good. The location is good. Only 10 minutes walk from centre.

Cons:

View was of the roof and directly in front of the building that houses the other rooms. Couldn't really open the windows as the extractor fan from the kitchen released the odour.

Clean & comfortable hotel, 10 minute walk from towns
Pros:

Clean and comfortable room. Good parking with restaurant on site. Wonderful breakfast. Sea view.

Cons:

Window wouldn't completely close. The shower seemed faulty as it was very noisy when used. We reported both faults when we left.

Rubbish software. Rude not to edit a date.
Pros:

I booked but the booking. Com software changed the dates. I asked politely to change the dates to the ones I needed. That was refused. That's why I'm giving it a crap review.
Will not book with this again.

Our stay was comfortably and reasonably priced for what we had but could’ve afforded to have the bar open.
Pros:

The room we had was huge and the bed was super comfy. The breakfast available was a good selection of Scottish breakfast items which were nice. The bathroom was great and the bath we had was a hot tub model so that was a treat to use.

Cons:

The bar downstairs wasn’t open for our entire stay which was a bit disappointing as we found ourselves wanting to play pool with a drink while we stayed there.
