Notre Dame Hotel - Self Check-in

Tvättstället var utanför badrummet och
det fanns INGENSTANS att hänga upp eller lägga handdukarna.
Inte en enda krok i hela rummet, var tänker ni att man ska hänga upp kläderna?
Det enda som fanns var en ca 30cm bred garderob med ett par galgar!
Tips för att enkelt få högre betyg, sätt upp några klädkrokar i rummen!

The room was much smaller than what it looked like in the photos. There was not enough floor space to pack or unpack luggage and storage was non-existent other than a tiny wardrobe with 5 hangers. We really struggled with the small space for 4 nights. There is also a strong cat outdoor in the stairs and hallway area which is quite unpleasant. There was no bad smell in the room however. The view from our window overlooked a shabby rooftop and other run down apartments and wasn’t what we expected when going to a beautiful city like Nice. The self check-in is very easy, however, I messaged the hosts twice during my stay and received quite short and unfriendly responses which took about 20 minutes to receive. I asked for fresh towels after 2 days of our stay and was told they were changed after 2 nights - which we did not appreciate. Then on our last day we went to the luggage storage location the hotel mentions and found it was closed. I messaged the host on WhatsApp and did not receive a response so we found another storage facility a 10 minute walk away and then 30 minutes later we received a response to my message with instructions on how to access the luggage storage facility across the street to the hotel. This was very unhelpful and could have been sent the day before check out.

Detta är inget hotell, det är lägenheter i en fastighet där andra civila bor. Det är som ett ghetto, alltid konstigt folk i trappen och barn som skriker. Öppnar man fönstret kommer cigarettlukt in. Precis som många andra skriver luktar det så otroligt illa i trappen, urin antar jag. Jag försökte kontakta ”hotellet” flera gånger men fick väldigt sega svar. Du behöver betala 5 euro för att lämna dina väskor på ett lager - bara med det borde jag förstått att detta inte är ett seriöst hotell.

Zimmer: es gab keine Möglichkeit etwas aufzuhängen und kaum Ablegemöglichkeit für Kleidung

Our room was a family room for 4 people, we got room no. 6 right above the oriental delicatess shop- it was impossible to open the window - the smell of oil spread straight into the room! When the air conditioner was turned on, the same smell of oil spread into the room through the ventilation system!

The very helpful staff changed our room the next day! But the smell of food was still felt in the room.

The smell in the stairwell is HORRIBLE! We had to rush out of the room because it stinks indescribably!
There are always a lot of strange people on the stairs and at the entrance door, which does not inspire confidence that this is a safe place!

And the event that shocked us the most: on the last night of the stay, there was a loud party in the room opposite, at midnight the residents started arguing and fighting in the stairwell! It was really scary, the children couldn't sleep - they were scared! It was a very unsafe feeling!
The staff recommended just staying in the room and not worrying. This was not the feeling you want to experience on your vacation!
