Pros:

Ich bin schon seit Jahren in dem Hotel. Zimmer gross, komfortabel und sauber mit Balkon und Stühlen. Wenn man ein Zimmer nach vorne zur Soi 7 hat, auch ruhig. In den der gegenüberliegenden Seite hört man nachts die Musik der angrenzenden Bars, obwohl die Zimmer hinten raus liegen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist einfach, bietet alles, aber davon wenig Auswahl. Vor 2 Jahren gab es noch täglich wechselnd Rührei und Spiegelei, jetzt nur noch Rührei. Aber im Grunde reicht es. Nach 7 Wochen in Kambodscha und Vietnam habe ich hier erstmalig wieder einen vernünftigen Kaffee bekommen. Auch wenn es nur ein Nestle Instant Coffee war, besser als die süßlichen Kaffees vor allem in Vietnam.

Die Perle des Hotels, neben der zentralen Lage, ist der Rooftop Swimmingpool und das kleine Fitnesscenter. Neben Hanteln, Stepper, Laufband gibt es einen Multifunktionsturm. Dieser Turm wäre super, würde alles funktionieren. Er bietet nicht nur Möglichkeiten zum Training von Schultern und Armen, sondern insbesondere auch für die Beine. Leider ist die Vorrichtung für die Beine und für das Auflegen der Gewichte kaputt. Mit der Gewichtsauflage kann man noch kreativ überbrücken, aber das Kabel für das Beingerät ist ständig von der Rolle gesprungen). Leider besteht dieser Zustand schon seit Jahren und wird nicht repariert, was Schade ist, weil ich einen solchen Multifunktionsturm in keinem anderen Hotel auf meiner Reise durch Thailand, Kambodscha und Vietnam gesehen habe. Allerdings wundert es mich auch, wie Nutzer es schaffen, ein solches Gerät kaputt zu bekommen. Vielleicht hilft da die Einführung einer Kaution für die Nutzung.

Abschließend möchte ich erwähnen, dass das Personal an der Tages- wie Nachtrezeption unwahrscheinlich freundlich und hilfsbereit ist.
