Great location and very central. A relaxed feel about the area. I would go back again.

Pros:

Centrally located between Ninenzaka and Yasaka Shrine making it good strategic point for early visit of hot tourist spot to avoid crowd

Cons:

No staff member and room cleaning; you are on your own to figure out unlocking the door and figuring out how to use the all Japanese washer and appliances.
The bathroom has no towel or cloth hanger making it a bit inconvenient.
There is no seat and only one very small coffee table; unfortunately for those who plan to use the kitchen to cook, you will have to sit on the bed or floor and manage with a very tiny table.

A must-stay in Kyoto!
Pros:

Location. location. Location.
We stayed for 2 nights bang in the middle of Gion district at this lovely, cosy apartment. Within the day we checked in, we saw 8-9 Geishas at different times of the evening. The next morning we were able to wake up at a decent time and finish up most of Kyoto’s famous must-dos before the crowds came in. The apartment was surrounded by lovely small eateries and a short walk to Ponchoto alley for some lovely restaurants and izakayas. We were even able to enjoy late-night walk around the lit-up shrines and monuments without having to worry about transport.
The room itself was small but had everything we needed, including a washer-dryer. The shower had great pressure and ACs working fine. For a small fee, we could even get late checkout!
When we checked out, we were able to walk to Yamato service and send our bags to the next location. SO convinient!!

Cons:

The room is a little tight, but didn’t bother us as we were out and about all day.

Fabulous hotel
Pros:

Excellent location in a quiet area but within easy walking to Gion and temples. Very quiet, very clean. Washing machine in room and ironing facilities provided. 24 hr check-in, all done by email beforehand so no problems with delayed flights etc.

Cons:

Absolutely nothing to say here.

Pros:

The location is top tier. The restaurant next door is really great. It was a huge bonus. The view from our room of Kyoto was also a really nice addition. It’s a full private apartment with a stove and fridge. My wife loved it. We would stay here again.

Cons:

The only negative thing I have about the whole stay is the mattresses on the hardwood. I woke up ready to get out of bed and stretch.

The location of this property was excellent. Right in the heart of the beautiful old streets of Kyoto. Walking distance to so many things, including 2 bus stops. Great restaurant under the building with beautiful simple food ! Rooms were compact, but clean and modern. Washing machine was handy, with a little balcony that you can hang your clothes outside. Definitely recommend!

Cons:

Was a little cosy for 3 tall people however was manageable.
