Zen stay at Mizuya
Pros:

It is clean and modern design.

The breakfast is a Japanese one in a zen and ceremonial way in the way it was presented.

There is no TV inside the room.

Cons:

There is no lift to the 1st floor. Luckily my luggage is not extremely heavy.

The curtain is not a blackout one. I take my own eye cover with me. So it is all fine.

We will be back!
Pros:

Great staff. Very well selected, classy interior that made us wanna move right in. Traditional Japanese breakfast getting us ready for the day. Every little detail was amazing.

The design of the hotel had priority over its functionality and comfort it would provide. Some basics are neglected that
Pros:

Nice design and spacious rooms with utensils provided to prepare tea. Calming atmosphere and delicious breakfast. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Cons:

Windows are not well-built and very thin, insulation was poor and a lot of cold air was right by the bed. You could hear footsteps from people walking outside as if there are in the room with you. There are no shutters to black out light so we would wake up very early, because it was so bright.

Relaxing stay
Pros:

We had a great time during our stay! The front desk staff was very friendly and spoke very good English. He showed us around and told us about the history of the building. The room was very clean and beautifully designed. The in-room sauna and a free standing tub made us feel like we are in a private spa! We had a restful sleep; couldn't hear any cars passing or neighbors. The breakfast was traditional Japanese inspired and it was beautifully presented. We've already recommended this place to our friends and will definitely stay there again when we are in the area next time!

Overall a very wonderful experience
Pros:

The breakfast ambience feelss soothing and therapeutic and the food was fragrant and delicious. The room feels very comfortable and the sauna was a very nice experience.

Cons:

The room window blinds could perhaps consider blackout curtains so that sunlight doesn't shine in so early in the morning

A relaxing and enjoyable stay with the friendliest staff in Japan.
Pros:

Mizuya was an excellent hotel for multiple reasons. Firstly the rooms were clean, spacious and had a nice concept. The location was good, close to the train station and bus stop and about a 5-10 minute walk to most of Miyazu's main attractions. Most importantly the staff were absolutely delightful and incredibly attentive to the needs of their guests. Breakfast was also delicious and a filling meal to start the day.

Cons:

I only wish the curtains blocked out more light in the mornings.

素敵な空間、美味しい朝食で、楽しい時間を過ごせました！
Pros:

宮津駅から徒歩数分で行けて、立地が良い。
また、備え付けのドライヤーやストレートアイロンがPanasonicのナノケアの商品で使い心地が良かった。貸し出しではなく、ちゃんと部屋にストレートアイロンが置いてあるのがすごく嬉しかった。
お抹茶の体験セットが部屋にあり、自分で点てて飲むのが楽しかった。
朝食が豪華で、水の上に浮かんだ小鉢を自分の好きなものを選んで食べられたり、バラ寿司が綺麗で美味しかった。地元の食材を使った朝食で、京都北部を体感できた。
綺麗なプライベートサウナがあった。
アート空間を体感できた。素敵な空間だった。

Cons:

備え付けのアメニティは最小限な印象。髭剃りや髪ゴムなどは置いていないので、自身で持っていく必要がある。
まだホテルが出来たばかりで、ちょっとしたトラブルがあったが、スタッフさんが丁寧に対応してくださった。

Clean but not practical and not comfortable
Pros:

Clean and aesthetic with nice decor

Cons:

The sensor light at the foyer cannot be off and every time someone go to the toilet it would on and lit the whole room. The double bed is too small for 2 people. The staff during check in was cold and did not offer any info of the room and property
