Pros:

A comfortable location to explore the area
Pros:

The location is ideal for exploring this area East of Edinburgh.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
There are buses to Edinburgh and North Berwick and points in between.

Cons:

The property is expensive but is comparable with nearby accommodation. Taxi service in the area is limited

Relaxing. Scrumptious food. Friendly staff.
Pros:

Relaxed ambience, quirky place. Lovely area to explore. Wish I'd stayed longer.

Cons:

The hotel only accepts card. Governments around the world are now warning businesses to use cash as a 'back up' incase systems go down (powergrid etc) wifi is weak or becomes susceptible to scams, hackers viruses etc. Also, the card companies may charge huge 'commission' fees in the future. Storing cash onsite may be a risk, but maybe sometimes it's a small risk.

Great location and with a few small adjustments it could be a lovely destination hotel.

Good location, with walks from the door.

Cons:

Of the four meals we had there was inconsistencies with what was being offered and what was delivered. Evening 1 mains were very good. Breakfast 1 no toast offered. Muffin wasn’t toasted. Evening meal 2 Again mains were good except gravy not provided for Wellington. Ordered a sweet but after 40 minutes waiting and three reminders we gave up! Breakfast 2 no granola or yoghurt available or offered self service for juice was not available, full Scottish lacked a second egg and beans, had to ask for toast again!
