Comfortable stay in Paddington.
Pros:

Great location near Paddington Station and a short walk to Hyde Park. There was a lift and it was clean, quiet and comfortable.

A great place to stay close to Paddington Station.

Chambre rénovée, dans un quartier calme mais dynamique avec pleins de restaurants aux alentours.
L’emplacement est super ! Proche du métro et du parc Hyde Parc.
La chambre est petite mais suffisante, la literie est bonne.
La salle de bain est petite mais pour quelques jours c’est suffisant.
Nous avons trouvé l’hôtel calme est bien entretenu

Gutes Hotel, wenn beim Thema Sicherheit nachgebessert wird

Nur wenige Minuten von Paddington Station, diversen U-Bahn-Linien und Bushaltestellen entfernt. Man kommt schnell in alle Ecken Londons. Hotel bietet Frühstück an ( habe ich aber nicht gebucht und kann dazu auch nichts sagen), aber es gibt diverse Coffeshops/Cafés in der Nähe.
Zimmer war, typisch London, sehr klein. Das Badezimmer war das Kleinste, welches ich jemals in einem Hotel hatte. Zimmer und Bad waren sauber und wirkten, bis auf einige Kleinigkeiten, fast wie erst vor kurzen renoviert. Was man von den Hotelfluren und von den schrecklichen Zimmertüren nicht behaupten kann. Kleiner Flat-TV, Wasserkocher, Bett war bequem, Duschgel-Spender vorhanden. Da mein Zimmer zum Hof hinausging, war es ruhig. Kann mir gut vorstellen, dass dies nicht so ist bei den Zimmern, die zur Strasse rausgehen, denn diese ist stark befahren. Check-in eine Stunde früher war problemlos möglich. Fahrstuhl vorhanden, dieser ist aber sehr langsam.

Cons:

Für laute Zimmernachbarn, welche die Türen laut zuknallen, kann das Hotel nichts. Oder vielleicht doch, denn die Türen lassen sich nur schliessen, wenn man diese kraftvoll zu zieht.
Mein grösstes Problem ist dort das Thema Sicherheit. Der Zimmerschlussel muss immer abgegeben werden. Ist okay, aber man muss nur seine Zimmernumner nennen und bekommt, ohne Prüfung, den gewünschten Schlüssel! Nur ein einziges Mal wurde ich nach meinem Namen gefragt und es fand eine Überprüfung im Computer statt. Jeder, wirklich jeder, hätte meinen Schlüssel bekommen können. Einmal bekam ich sogar einen falschen Zimmerschlussel, was mir zum Glück sofort auffiel. Dann kann man die Zimmertür nicht abschließen, es gibt auch keinen Riegel. Als alleinreisende Frau hat man da schon ein mulmiges Gefühl.
Als Unfallrisiko sehe ich auch die hohe Stufe, welche zum Badezimmer führt, ca 25 cm hoch.

Reception staff on check was unfriendly and didn’t create a good first impression or make me want to stay here again

Cons:

The lady on reception who checked us in did not leave a good first impression. She was unfriendly, unwelcoming and miserable. Fortunately we didn’t have to interact with her or any other member of staff until handing in the keys at check out. We avoided breakfast for this reason too.
