price, studio flat
near a very noisy road, bed v uncomfortabkw, totally intrusive check in policy
Windows were covered in dust directly above the bed, they had clearly not been cleaned in a long time. Rubbish bin in kitchen had not been emptied. Shower head was disgusting and shower did not drain properly giving increased risk of contracting legionnaires disease. I requested a quiet room however room was situated on the front looking onto a main road at a busy junction. No one on site or available online or on the phone to address the concerns. Absolute disgrace and I will be contacting environmental health regarding the condition of the room.
Excellent communication from staff
As mentioned above,
Washing up facilities (liquid, sponge, tea towel)
Binbags, anti bac spray (I don't feel like the guest should invest in these for a two week stay)
Bin in bathroom (for women especially)
Size of the room was good.
There was a lot of space.
The dishes in the kitchen were not clean.
The utensils were in a poor condition.
There was rubbish left in the bin.
Not enough toilet paper and towels.
Building was incredibly hot, no air con and windows don’t open properly. Also had no access to laundry facilities, despite it being advertised as having laundry. Window sill and blinds were incredibly dusty which was not good as the bed was against the window
We liked that the property was close to the things we wanted to do. Everything was clean and easy to use. We didn't find ourselves needing anything we didn't expect to need.
When we had a problem with the property (more info in the "didn't like" section), the response was quick and easy to follow and the host came to sort it out quickly.
When we arrived at the property, the keys were missing because another guest had taken them. Although this was slightly concerning, the host did do they're best to fix it in a timely and calm manner. They reassured us that this had never happened before and would change the way keys are collected in future to avoid this happening.
Another factor we didn't like was the room temperature. The room was so hot and humid even with the window open constantly and heater off, that we had to borrow a fan off a friend just to get any sleep.
