Horrific!
Pros:

The town is charming

Cons:

DON'T GO THERE and actually don't use booking.com. My family and I arrived there and the property has water turned off. Everyone in the town told us to go somewhere else as they were suspecting shady business happening and were concerned for the safety of my young kids (drug related). We had to go to another accommodation close by and booking.com never refunded me for it despite several call to explain the situation.

convenient, great location, energetic staff, but its just a few clicks above camping.
Pros:

it's open in off season in this foothills mining town in the Sierrras, and conveniently right on highway 49. The owners made a personal pizza and it was delicious

Cons:

I know the new owners are trying hard to resurrect this historic hotel, but it's just not up to the standard most reuire. I hope they are successful, as this place dates way back, and I get it has some amazing stories.
