This should not be 5 star….looks pretty but doesn’t function that well.

The room was spacious and the property seemed generally clean

Cons:

The food was not good at all. Drinks were very expensive. Most of the things did not work, this included the hot water in the shower!! The coffee machine was broken. You couldn’t order a ham and cheese Omelette, I was told they couldn’t cook it, however they were serving Ham, Bacon and pork sausages! The location wasn’t great and you didn’t feel safe to walk outside.

Must have been incredible in its heyday
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful, the rump steak at dinner was magnificent. The actual hotel is quite stunning, very timeless old luxury feels, it just seems that not all of the hotel gets used.

Cons:

The location is not really that safe to explore and the hotel shuttle service could really be better. The coffee is a bit basic. I was under the impression that there would be more than one resturant to eat from. Also, breakfast room service is not on the menue and would have been nice.

Very bad experience
Pros:

Beautiful and union building views

Cons:

When I got there the was no electricity and water was very cold and I couldn’t even charge my phone. Even after the electricity came back the water was still cold in the morning. The basin was not working properly, water was not flowing out. The guy who was checking our room number at the breakfast desk was very rude. Food was tasteless

Not sure about CT hotel being a 5 Star Hotel.
Pros:

The bed.
Room Service.
Friendly staff.
The room was clean.

Cons:

1. The smell when you walk into the building.
2. The smell in the lifts - SMELLS LIKE FISH!!!!!!!
3. Lifts are not really clean.
4. Only the phone in the Bathroom is working.....????
5. The Aircon is barely working...
6. Only one big towel to be Shared between myself and my Husband but 3 hand towels in the bathroom. Even after they cleaned, we only received one shower towel again the next day.

Cons:

No coffee at a 5-star hotel! They serve Nescafe and it tastes awful, like mud! At breakfast, they asked me three times if I wanted eggs, I said no each time, and then when I finally couldn't take it anymore and said yes, I wanted boiled eggs, they said they were out :) The breakfast was truly terrible and the products were stale.
