Great location and comfortable bed
Air-con in the room didn't work, very hot day / evening made for a pretty uncomfortable sleep with only the fan provided. Had to check-out before the issue was resolved. Odd check-in / out process.
The location was beautiful, friendly staff.
The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The common areas were nicely decorated and comfortable. The rooms were comfortable although the decor was dull and could do with a refresh. There was a very busy pool packed with day visitors.
Our rooms were accessed via many steps, although at time of booking I had requested an accessible room for one of our party (recovering from knee surgery). I was advised this could be arranged on arrival, however this was not true and there was never an opportunity.
Good restaurant for dinner.
If you opt for breakfast it seems a bit expensive, I think it was about £17.
You advertise this as the swimming was open and when we got there the pool was shut . We were very disappointed by this as it was one of the hottest days of the year and other people was saying the same thing. My wife even phoned them and the hotel said it was open . It really did spoil the experience. We complained to the staff and manager and they were very rude and said to us to complain to you (booking.com ) it was nothing to do with them it was down to you for advertising that the pool was open.

I like the decor, location and atmosphere of the hotel.
I would have liked the pool to be open. I think if it was open all year you would get people in to use it - cold water swimming would be a draw!
It was OK - a bit tired looking but OK for my needs.
The fact that it’s not called ‘Dancenter’at all but ‘Burwell Bridge/Emlyn Restaurant’! Only when I parked up (with the meter running!) and spoke to the hotel staff did they confirm I was at the right place despite no signs anywhere saying the name I’d booked?!

Beautiful hotel, lovely room with a balcony, nice inside
and big too, looking out on the grounds and very private. No traffic noise. All the staff were so nice. Food was delicious. Fridge, iron, kettle, fan, heater, extra pillow & blankets. So peaceful 🌿🌳🍃
It’s a shame as the car park is directly across a very dangerous road and you cannot see whether any cars are coming or not. It isn’t a slow road either, the cars are travelling quite fast so was unnerving crossing the road with a small child. Same for driving out of the car park as well. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner, it didn’t have a huge amount of attention paid to it so was a bit grotty especially around the sink. Contacted them a couple of times asking for the restaurant menu and still haven’t heard back from our messages - our stay is over and done with now. There was no menu on the website, it would’ve been nice to be able to see it in advance in case of any issues.
Great property with big grounds and clean rooms
Amazing setting with great outdoor experience. Rooms were also clean with good breakfast served. Overall a good experience!
Loved the garden and the pool area. There is ample parking space. They also have a lovely bar and lounge area with a fireplace. The staff is very welcoming. We will stay again!
Very supportive staff
Such a hidden gem near the airport! The room was beautifully decorated with a fresh, modern touch, and the garden view added a lovely peaceful vibe. Everything felt well cared for, and the location is perfect for a stress-free pre-flight stay. I felt totally relaxed and would happily stay again next time I’m flying from Gatwick.

For the hotel on the listing they also have the wrong postcode, not the fault of the property but still very annoying
