Pros:

Comfy bed. Good water pressure in the shower, nice hot water.

Cons:

Shortage of staff. Coffee machine broken so couldn’t get the drinks we wanted. Terrible smell in the ladies toilet. Food wasn’t great. Thin soft pillows on an otherwise really comfortable bed. Overall, a superior king room felt very small and somewhat over priced.

Stay at the Throckmorton
Pros:

Good value. The food both in the evening and at breakfast time was very good.

Cons:

Our room was a bit on the small side for a superior room. The bed was too soft and uncomfortable.

Welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room with good food.
Pros:

The Throckmorton is a lovely clean, comfortable and welcoming place to stay.
We've stayed here a few times when visiting friends in the area and will always be our 'go to'. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are well presented and have good amenities, there's a good choice for breakfast and it's good value. What more do you need?! Thank you for another enjoyable stay.

Pros:

Very central! Nice friendly staff! Clean, food good

Cons:

I wish there was a lounge to relax in with a fire!

Central heating was difficult to control for us, the first room was too hot and the staff couldn't turn it down, so they moved us to a family room.
Large but nice. Otherwise all good
