It was very cold even with temp set at 76
The staff was very nice, especially the young lady who checked me in. The lady who was about to clean the room when I left was also very nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and large with nice soaps and lotions.
The problem with the heat! I pushed Heat, High and every button that looked as if it might help. Heat would blow out of the vent near the windows for about 45 seconds and then stop. Most of the time, the heater was essentially an air conditioner blowing out freezing cold air and I wore heavy sweater and my jackets into bed.
Also, there was a terrible snowstorm last weekend and when I arrived, the steep uphill driveway to the Sheraton lobby was completely iced over. Halfway up, the cab driver was all set to leave me stranded on the icy driveway with my luggage because he was having so much trouble getting the car to keep running on that steep incline.
The staff member who checked me in (and she was lovely) told me that the city usually ploughs their driveway but hadn't done it that day, a Saturday, because the factory next to the hotel was closed.
I had the same trouble taking a Lyft into Needham; the Lyft couldn't get up the steep, winding driveway.
Shouldn't it have been the responsibility of the Sheraton to hire a private company to clear its driveway if the city wasn't doing it? Aren't they responsible for making sure their guests can safely access the hotel?
Finally, I'll mention this but it's not something that bothered me terribly: the room had absolutely no character. Not a single picture or anything decorative - just white walls and a white ceiling that looked like it was made of cement. I was there just to have a place to sleep that night but it seemed strange that unlike most hotels, decor apparently didn't matter.
Nice room.
Too far from elevator. Requested a room near elevator when I reserved, but didn’t get it. Waited two hours for order for room service. Front desk took care of this and we promptly got out order. Food was good and hot.
The staff at check in and check put were wonderful. Fielding phone calls and doing check ins simultaneously and professionally. It was a stressful snowy evening and I think your staff handled it with grace. The bartender was slso very busy with several customers and orders but was pleasant and attentive to all. I was very pleased and will be back again when in need of accommodations.
Check out alerted me to a back entrance that leads to and from the parking garage. The front entrance is steep amd winding and was a bit sketchy in the snow. Understandable as we were getting hammered with a bad snow storm but I definitely wish I knew about the less steep entrance. Thankfully I have an SUV.
bad experience
slow breakfast that we paid for and turned out its only for 2 guests not for all 4 (2 kids didn't get option for food - 35 minutes waiting for eggs and rude and inattentive staff ; bathroom had mold in ceiling and our kid has asthma - not good ! heater did not work and worst thing was the pool - main reason we booked the place for ! pool was unusable as AirCondtioner in pool area was blasting arctic cold air in January winter weather ! we reported the issue and no fix ! never going back ! Oh and they charge huge parking fee (not disclosed in advance ! )
Breakfast was fresh and tasty.
location, facilities, room decoration
No breakfast. Partly pricey and limited menu. I'm here 4x a year visiting friends and family for the past 5 years.
The DAMN humidity in the room!!! VERY uncomfortable! It was very humid during my stay. The room was so humid when I returned from my day the bathroom mirror was dripping with moisture. I searched for a vent to close on the A/C but there was no vent. The steamy humidity must have come through the AC. I kept the AC on cool at about 72 or so and I had to leave it that way to keep the deep moisture out and comfortable. HOWEVER, this kept the room TOO COLD at night. You have no idea how humid these rooms get (same thing last summer visit). You need to find a way to close a vent or keep the summer humidity out creeping t the AC. It was very uncomfortable at night too cold but only way to keep the humidity down. Very sticky! Also, please vaccuum rug!
No other issues.
The staff tried to help him, put me on the fifth floor after going to the fourth floor and finding a disgusting dirty room with someone’s wet towel hanging and a bed that had been used and belongings belonging to someone else in the room
was scary to enter the fourth floor room as a single woman try traveling all across the country from Montana all day… Made my stay feel creepy

room was clean and nice accept for below comments. Bathroom was good
We had a room with a king which implies possible occupancy for a couple: There were not enough towels; there was only ONE regular coffee packet; the fridge had no freezer; there was no microwave; there was only one chair and no way two people could eat outside food appropriately together; you charge for parking; the cost of breakfast was absurd; I suppose its all fine for a single employee who works for Raytheon and is on the DoD dole but for a traveling couple not great!
The room was specious and clean, bed comfortable.
Location of the hotel not close to public transportation.
The beds were comfortable and the included breakfast was very good.
No free parking
Your bar is too expensive for guests staying there. You should offer a discount for guests.
Some of your guests are sketchy. When I was going to the dining area for breakfast, an obese woman walking through the lobby wearing her nightgown, slippers and a heaping plate of food was walking through. Not cool. This wasn't her house and showed complete disregard for other guests.
This is our third consecutive year staying at this property for a prep school hockey tournament held locally. I mention this because it means we don’t have much choice on where we can stay as there are team events during the weekend that we want to participate in. Based on our experience, this is not a property we would choose to stay at otherwise or recommend to anyone. Over the three years, we have seen a decline in the hotel but an increase in pricing, notably a daily parking fee was added since our last visit.
We checked in on 18Dec2025 for a three night stay. Our room was clean but dated. On our first night, one of the player’s rooms had bed bugs. The front desk staff was very accommodating to a room change, but also didn’t seem to be surprised by the presence of bed bugs in a room. Needless to say, all of the teammates and family members staying at the hotel were nervous about finding more bed bugs.
On the second day, 19Dec2025, the hotel lost power midday. I learned this from another parent while at a hockey game - there was no communication from the hotel. I reached out to the hotel through the app and asked for a status update several times while we were at the games. It was very difficult to pull information from the staff. I can understand that they were dealing with a power outage, but it would have been nice to have some communication regarding the status (I.e., heat, hot water) of our room. Again, we were staying at the hotel because the team was there and didn’t want to move to another hotel.
On the third day, 20Dec2025, our room still didn’t have power and there was no information forthcoming from the staff about when we could expect power restoration. We also needed to get one of the conference rooms ready for a team dinner that evening and made multiple requests to the hotel staff to have the room cleaned from breakfast and set up for the dinner. We decided to do it ourselves because it seemed as though the hotel wasn’t going to do it in time for us to set up and decorate. We cleaned up the room, removed the trash, brought in additional tables for eating and food set up. My understanding that there was a fee that the hotel charged for the team having access to this room - based on how much work we had to do, this fee should be waived. Later that day, we returned after a game for the team dinner and the hotel was surrounded by emergency vehicles. We were told there was a fire on the 4th floor and that there was no access to that floor which is where the majority of the team and families was staying. We set up our team dinner in the conference room by phone flashlight, candles provided by the hotel and portable lights purchased at Home Depot nearby.
Throughout the entire stay, we found the staff to be pleasant to deal with, but not helpful in terms of communication (especially with the power outage) or service (specifically with the conference room cleaning/setup). Needless to say, I was very surprised that at no time were we offered anything for all that we endured (bedbugs, power outage, fire) over the 3 day stay. I understand that some of this was out of the hotel’s control, but it was also out of our control and could have been better handled by Sheraton. If this wasn’t my son’s final year of this tournament, I would be lobbying very heavily with his school to get a different hotel going forward.
Clean & convenient stay!
