A hotel to enjoy a city that's full of history and culture.
Pros:

The hotel is conveniently located at the JR station where there are plently of shops and restaurants to enjoy. The Oita Tourist Information at the station was extremely helpful and the lady, who spoke excellent English, recommended one of the best unagi restaurant in the city. The historical bus tour around Oita was well organized and the Oita Prefecture Museum reflects a rather sophisticated and cultured city, instead of Beppu, to visit.

てんくうで岩盤浴を楽しむために宿泊しました。露店風呂からのロケーションもすばらしかったし、スタッフの対応もよかったです。駅ビルだけですべてが完結でき悪天候でも心配なかったです。

Needs serious renovation
Pros:

The staff were exceptional, always smiling and ready to help.

Cons:

Very old hotel, maybe invest and do some renovation!
Smelly rooms and felt like there was no air on the 12th.
Very small room overall and bed/pillows, not comfortable at all.

Tolle Lage, tolles Onsen
Pros:

Die Lage ist gleich beim Bahnhof. Im obersten Stock gibt es ein öffentliches Bad mit Sicht über die ganze Stadt. Als Gast kann man einen kleinen Aufpreis bezahlen und jederzeit ins Bad fahren.

Cons:

Das Zimmer für zwei Personen könnte grösser sein.

Overall good for a night stay but maybe not for triple sharing
Pros:

Location is very good for drivers. They have detailed guide to access the hotel on their website and overnight parking is only 1000 yen.

Cons:

We booked a triple sharing room and the room is very cramped because there are lots of unnecessary walls and dead space between the door and the wall. The wardrobe door should be removed as its so diffcult to access the clothes.
