The room was well equipped with all I needed. The Wifi was good and I was able to work in the room.
I would suggest that the toilet seat needs to be replaced as it was a little old and stained / worn. The iron had burn marks on it and also probably needed to be replaced.
The building work opposite was a little noisy but this isn't the hotels fault and was only during the day not at night time.
I have visited this place many times since the opening 17 years ago. Its atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff are great.
The catering has been compromised lately. Small portions and a pretty standard menu. Avocado toast for example is one thin slice of cheap white bread with avocado en some cherry tomatoes. Not a nice whole grains piece of bread with a rich selection of topics.

Always a warm welcome - easy check in and great room. Garden on 8 - fabulous service from manager who even managed to find my chosen rugby match for me to watch whilst eating ❤️
Nothing - great from start to finish - great breakfast too.
