Our stay was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is still under construction, yet guests are being accommodated in rooms directly next to the construction area.
We were woken up at 6:30 AM by extremely loud construction noise and were unable to get any more sleep. Both rooms next to ours were still under construction, and in fact, the entire floor appeared to be an active construction site.
The hotel should not be accepting guests while these conditions exist. It was completely unacceptable and made for a very poor experience.
Very friendly staff .. all rooms have been renovated .. exellent location
The motel is going through major renovations and has been bought out by another company and is now Pasadena Inn. Needs lots of work. Hopefully it will improve when work is complete.
Room nicely furnished, easy parking,
Bathroom sink was stopped up - was repaired upon request. Several lightbulbs above the bed were not screwed in properly, electric outlet above desk did not work, black widow shade blocks all light, but if you raise it you have no privacy - should have transparent curtain in addition. Property is under some construction - swimming pool is filled with dirt - just ugly.
The AC unit was very cooling.
Construction work on the pool.
Very friendly staff . Chris was a great person who checked me in .. rooms dully renovated.. modern clean comfortable .. exellent location
The location of the area was great in all aspects from being able to explore the area
The renovation did take the view away
I’ve incorporated your additional point naturally into the review:
The location is ideal; however, it is a terrible place to stay.
We stayed in Room 201, which was dirty and in poor condition. The walls had been painted very badly, with an uneven finish throughout. The bathroom ceiling looked as though it was coming down, the bathroom socket didn’t work, the hairdryer was broken, and the bathtub drained so slowly that it took at least 15 minutes to empty after each shower. With four people sharing the room, this made getting ready extremely inconvenient.
The mini fridge barely kept anything cold, while anything placed in the small freezer compartment froze solid. The blinds were torn on both sides, allowing daylight to stream into the room from around 6:00 a.m. every morning.
The hotel and the rooms look nothing like the photographs on the website. The advertising is misleading, creating expectations that simply are not met. One example is that the website gives the impression that there is a pool, but there isn’t one.
During our stay, the hotel even gave our room to another couple. They repeatedly tried to enter while we were asleep, and we eventually had to open the door because they were so persistent. This was extremely concerning and made us feel very unsafe.
Our return flight was cancelled, so we extended our stay by one night. We had arranged and paid for a late checkout, but on the day we were due to leave, the hotel staff were reluctant to honour the agreement, causing unnecessary stress at an already difficult time.
Perhaps most disappointingly, our room was never cleaned during our five-night stay. Housekeeping never came, we had to search for clean towels ourselves, and when we arrived there was only a single roll of toilet paper provided.
The location is the hotel’s only real positive. Unfortunately, the poor maintenance, misleading advertising, lack of cleanliness, inadequate housekeeping, and poor customer service mean I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.
Absolutely nothing
The beds were filled with dirt in between the sheets and lights weren’t working, towels moldy and dirty. spiders. This hotel needs to be investigated
Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The property is currently under construction and is an absolute mess. While I understand renovations happen, that is no excuse for the condition of the room we were given.
The room was filthy. There was sawdust and drywall dust all over the bed frame, floors, and walls. To make matters worse, the towels in the room were dirty. After requesting fresh towels, we were given replacements that were somehow even dirtier.
We asked multiple times for the room to be properly cleaned, but the staff failed to address the issue each time. The lack of cleanliness and attention to guest concerns was completely unacceptable.
I contacted management several times after my stay seeking a refund or some form of compensation, but received nothing. The owners and managers of this hotel should be ashamed of how this property is being operated. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
The only good part about this CONSTRUCTION ZONE of a hotel is the staff - they are genuinely nice and kind and they try their best to be helpful, but they are dealt an AWFUL hand of cards to play with. So they can only do so much with what they have.
The location is good - easy to get in and out and there's 2 levels of parking.
The property has a laundry room. But the room is very dirty and each load costs $3.25 (as of June 2026). Also, you have to download an app to use the laundry machine - a huge downside and annoyance. Much prefer paying cash or loading a card with EXACT amount I need, not the rounded-up amounts in the app that guarantee that some funds will be left on the account unused.
Endemic problems - Been in 2 rooms and they both have an AWFUL and highly unpleasant smell to them. The rooms smell like a mix of wet cement and construction adhesive. You CANNOT GET RID OF THE SMELL - it's just there. No amount of AC or ventilation can address this smell problem - it's just a horrible smell that you have to endure the entire length of your stay.
The room we were in did not have a working shower fan exhaust and it did not have a visible return-air duct, so the air circulation got progressively worse as you moved further away from the AC unit under the window.
Speaking of the AC unit - what a loud and obnoxious thing. You need it to be ON to try to address the smell in the room, but it's old and loud and hard to sleep next to.
The bathroom sink has a clog somewhere in the pipe and take forever to drain.
The bedside lights are DIRTY.
RELEVANT IN 2026:
The temporary headache that made the stay UNBEARABLE - the construction! They are demolishing the pool in the parking lot with jack hammers and they start hammering at 6:30 in the morning! YOU CANNOT ESCAPE THIS CONSTRUCTION NOISE! From 6:30 in the morning until they finish in late afternoon, this is NOT a hotel - this is an active construction zone with a lodging side-hustle.
As of June 2026, the new owners of this hotel are actively trying to renovate the property - this part is understandable and commendable. The hotel in its current form is very run down - the carpets are old, the laundry room is dirty, the rooms have an awful smell to them, and each AC unit sounds like a 1950s tractor.
About 1/3 to 1/2 of the hotel rooms are being renovated at the same time. But this is NOT stated anywhere beforehand! I did not sign up to PAY to be at a construction zone with jack hammers at 6:30 in the morning. The only upside here is that they are gutting the rooms and redoing everything from scratch - perhaps in June of 2027 they will be in a much better state.
