Great place to stop over
Pros:

I’ve been here before and still enjoy my visits. It’s close to the airport, close to town, basic but very comfortable. I stay here on nights when I am flying out the following day but I would also use it as a holiday stay

Our third stay, will be back for sure.
Pros:

We asked for ground floor, double bed which wasn’t a problem.
Room was clean, ac was on when we checked in so it was lovely to walk-in from a hot humid day in Cairns.

Cons:

Nothing to not like. Maybe a small table and chairs would make it more comfortable to enjoy a coffee.

Pros:

Staff were lovely.

Cons:

Basic room, very old, mould behind the curtains that tried to be removed at somepoint.
Bed was comfy, however, the pillows were very lumpy and big.

Not soundproof at all, a hotel that provides earplugs is never a good sign. You can hear everything from the hallway, felt more like a hostel than a hotel.
High pitch noise in the bedroom which turned out the be the fridge so I had to unplug it
Work going on at 7.30am, as they are renovating a handful of rooms.
No lift, no offer for anyone to help take suitcase up
Breakfast just shop brought food and placed onto a stack in the breakfast area
Breakfast options - not great, when they say cooked food, they mean eggs, tomatoes, beans and two random pastries
No coffee machine etc, only filter coffee - basically the same you get in the room
Breakfast area very small and because it was raining people had to sit in reception seats.
We came from hostels, we wanted a nice relaxing stay and we got far from that.
I’ve stayed in hostels nicer, and more updated than this hotel.
Overall would not stay again. Cut my stay short. If you want absolute basic, bare minimum then stay here. Couldn’t fault the staff.

Quiet and friendly
Pros:

Excellent breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. Air conditioning worked. We had an upgrade to a room with amenities for cooking. Very nice and just a short walk to town (15-20 min).
