In the heart of the city - close to train station. Barry’s restaurant and breakfasts were good. Junior suite was large with lots of storage and a nice tub and shower . The inside of the room itself was nice but location was beyond horrible!
I felt scammed by the reviews and photos of the junior suite with Eiger views. The rear of the balcony has you basically on top of an ugly white building with tons of windows and cars coming into a lot ( at night headlights shone into room) . To the right there is the gym/spa with an huge ladder up against a wall. ZERO privacy. Had to keep curtains closed at all times day and night or someone was close enough and could see you . The wooden flooring of balcony was so worn that I immediately got a splinter the first time that I stepped outside. I noticed spa robes and no slippers so we called front desk for slippers to avoid splinters and they had the audacity to charge us $5 a pair. Also the junior suites are in a separate building that requires tons of staircases or two elevators to get to it. Im sorry but I travel frequently and pride myself on getting beautiful rooms with a view and this fell beyond short of any expectations and reviews that I read . Please do not make the same mistake.
Also depending on time of year that you go be aware ( I was) There is no pool or a/c. There was a fan in room which was great but if you open windows a ton of gnats come in.
If I ever go back to Grindelwald I would stay somewhere else . So many other beautiful hotels that have unobstructed views of valley and mountains.
Staff were welcoming and really helpfull.
Barrys restaurant was exceptional.
The young man at the front desk upon our arrival on Monday, 9/7 was very helpful and friendly. Super nice!

Would have enjoy an area, such as a lobby, without music playing to work and read outside of the room

Our room didn’t have a view, and I was very disappointed about that.
Awesome breakfast! Our room had a lot of space, the bed was good as well. The view is amazing! The reception guys helped me to surprise my husband in his birthday with a cake! The brazilian chef is very kind and helped us with some tips :)
Very good breakfast. Excelent location.
The room we had was king of old. Also, with no air conditioned, the temperature was unpleasantly high. We had no choice but to sleep with the windows opened - that meant noise, light and bugs coming in during the night.
Allem voran..das Team im Eiger Mountain ist der Wahnsinn ..so, so freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit!

Das Frühstück ist richtig gut, das Restaurant Barry ebenfalls und auch hier durften wir einen tollen, warmherzigen Service genießen! Die Lage des Hotels in Grindelwald ist optimal um zu den jeweiligen Bahnen in der Region zu kommen, um von dort aus zu wandern und die Schweizer Bergwelt zu genießen!
Ich hatte auch eine Massage während unseres Aufenthaltes und die war super!
Wir sagen ganz herzlich Dankeschön und kommen bestimmt und sehr gerne wieder🤗

Badkamer was erg klein , hebben niet de kamer gekregen zoals de foto's op de site van booking.com beloofde , maar helaas hotel zat vol en konden niet wisselen
