Le Merrill - Vieux Montréal

Nous n’y sommes pas resté, nous avons réservé ailleurs, directement après avoir mis les pieds dedans il était hors de question d’y rester, c’était poussiéreux, il y avait des ongles dans la salle de bain au sol, une taie d’oreiller en pleins milieux de la pièce au sol, le personnel injoignable, une fois que j’ai réussi à avoir qq on m’a raccroché au nez sans explication, très difficile à accéder à notre chambre quand nous sommes arrivés après un long vol nous avons dû attendre 1h dans la rue avant d’avoir les consignes pour accéder à notre chambre. Je ne sais pas si nous pouvons être remboursé, mais honnêtement j’aimerais avoir un dédommagement pour cette vraie mauvaise surprise.

The biggest problem is the noise, you basically hear people moving above or in the whole way. We’re basically couldn’t sleep as you could hear people going back and forth in the whole way the whole night even around 3 or 4 am. We couldn’t sleep that night luckily we had to stay only 1 night.

The only problem, the bathroom smells the other apartment kitchen. Especially in the morning

the shower and caulking needs upgrading . some details need attention. drawer missing inter kitchen,

There was no barrier outside the window. There was garbage left outside elevator for the weekend.

The room isn't soundproof, we stayed over the weekend and heard people in the hallway coming and going each night

We're giving it 1 star for the following reasons: The name of the place is "The Merrill boutique hotel," but it's not a hotel; it's more like an Airbnb. They don't clean daily as you would in a hotel. I had to ask during our stay, and they gave us a complimentary cleaning, which we appreciated, but we rented here thinking it was a hotel. The place is across from a large construction site, and we weren't notified in advance. We weren't prepared. The construction noise started at 6:00 AM every day and stopped around 5:00 PM, making it very difficult to rest (we've shared photos and videos below). The construction made it almost impossible to get to the "hotel" because the street was closed on several occasions. We had very, very little privacy. The construction workers could easily see into the apartment, and since there were two of us women, it was quite worrying even with the curtains closed. The "curtains" are super thin, the room has one glass wall and all the light filters in, so if the construction noise doesn't wake you up, the sun definitely will. The TV remote was covered in corrosion and never worked; we could never watch TV. The pillows hurt your neck, there's no shelf in the bathroom, so you have to put your shampoo, soap, etc., on the floor. Finally, there's no microwave, so if you wanted to reheat anything, it wouldn't be possible. We're including all this information so that future tenants aren't caught off guard and are better prepared.

le service client définitivement…personne sur place…endroit autonome avec clé magnétique et codes…processus de check in pourrait être plus simple…et mieux pensé …pas trop user friendly. Si vous oubliez votre clé(seulement 1 fournie)à l’intérieur de votre appart par mégarde…et bien vous coucherez dehors car il n’y aura personne pour vous répondre…et bonne chance le
lendemain pour ravoir vos effets…pas évident…
