MATHIS Retreat Ubud

Our stay at Mathis Retreat Ubud was simply wonderful. From the moment we booked until the day we left, we felt genuinely cared for. The team stayed in regular contact with us through Booking.com before our arrival and proactively offered assistance with transportation from the airport. We have stayed in many 5-star hotels, yet we have rarely experienced such attentive and personal service.

The retreat itself is a true sanctuary of peace and tranquility. The entire staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and they even address guests by name, which makes the experience feel very personal. A special thank you goes to Nisa at the reception and her colleague, who were both incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout our stay.

Our bungalow was beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained, as was the entire property. The atmosphere throughout the retreat is relaxing and serene, making it the perfect place to unwind.

We also participated in the cooking class, which was excellent and a lot of fun. In addition, we enjoyed several treatments at the spa, where the massages were truly first-class and among the best we have experienced.

The breakfast was another highlight. It was served directly at the table and offered a great selection of delicious dishes. We particularly appreciated not having to deal with crowded buffet lines, which made the mornings much more relaxed and enjoyable. The food throughout our stay was excellent, and the restaurant staff were always friendly, attentive, and accommodating.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and would not hesitate to return. We will also gladly recommend Mathis Retreat Ubud to our friends and family.

Beautiful hotel with great views across verdant rice paddies. Great food and wonderful staff. The location is mazing as close to Ubud but feels absolutely in the countryside. The pool is amazing and perfect for relaxing

I like the stuff they were so polite and caring we swim and we walk in the fields we eat dinner in the restaurant it was good
But something happened after the check out we went to another resort far away 45 minutes
They called us because we took 1 slipper and they want it back ! And they took the address of new resort and come to took it !!!
No hotel or resort take the personal stuff again 😂😂 even the employer who called us he was ashamed of that !!

Lovely relaxing place in the middle of rice fields away from crowded and polluted centre Ubud. We loved the location, staff was extremely friendly especially with our 2 yrs old son. He loved seeing the ducks everyday, was such a highlight for him, and we loved our stay. Very peaceful, accomodating and also organised structure for such a boutique hotel.

Food was also really nice, we miss the breakfast view. And got to eat at the same restaurantbat night - tasteful and clean

Lovely view from the hotel's pool, peaceful ambiance with green and lush garden, amazing breakfast with lots of options, very friendly stuff. We enjoyed so much the pool after a hot long day in Ubud. The hotel is very close to one of the most beautiful walking path in the rice fields.

Hôtel à taille humaine. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la piscine et la vue sur les rizières. Le personnel était très gentil et toujours souriant. La chambre était spacieuse et propre. Bon petit déjeuner (sauf les jus de fruits sans goût).

Nice property , exactly the same as the pictures.
The food at the restaurant is excellent and the staff is professional, nice and friendly.
The location is quite good as welll especially when tou drive a scooter or a car, you are not in the traffic in this area

Tout était parfait ! Le personnel en or, la nourriture, la vue, le lieu avec les rizières, les massages, bref un 10/10 ! J’y suis d’ailleurs retournée alors que ce n’était pas prévu…
