The location was ideal for what we needed. We were there for a wedding close by, so it wasn’t too far away from venue.
Firstly, we weren’t made aware that a good proportion of the hotel would be filled with Gamers that were taking part in a gaming event over the weekend. This therefore meant that the bar was shut for ‘private event’ and the corridors/communal areas could only be described of that out of university accommodation. There was half eaten, takeaway food wrappers outside of the rooms. Some rooms had their doors wide open, exposing you to a load of kids on computer games and the communal areas had table tennis tables set up where further food wrappers were left all over the place allowing smells to fill the corridors and young adults playing/shouting well into the evening. Now we appreciate these sorts of events will bring in a lot of revenue for the hotel but I think a simple courteous email to other guests to mention the event going on and also, to advise of facilities being out of order would have been a little more understandable. Alternatively, to keep them to one part of the hotel that other guests don’t have to walk past to get to their rooms. We even mentioned it to the man on reception and he laughed it off saying he knows they’re a pain.
We complained to the hotel directly, requesting a refund and the manager contacted us to say if we wanted a refund, we’d have to get out of the hotel (half way through our stay, and the morning of the wedding in which we’d booked that hotel specifically for). We said we weren’t prepared to find a venue at such short notice and therefore we agreed to a partial refund due to the hotel falling short of our expectations, which we felt was a fair agreement. However, the situation was made worse by the fact that when we came back from our day, our hotel room had not been touched. There was no fresh towels, no bed made, or bins emptied.
Great staff on Reception.
I felt that I should have been offered more compensation for being sent to another hotel, after having booked, due to a big event having taken precedence. However, the other hotel was equally excellent, and Lea Marston picked up the taxi fares that I now had to take!
So all was well in the end!
Great breakfast and staff were awesome during booking. They accommodated all my booking needs . I love the fact that their were activities to do around the hotel. It made my weekend getaway an awesome one

Sehr schöner Spa Bereich. Sehr leckeres Essen im Restaurant.
Alles super gewesen.
We didn't have breakfast as we had an early flight
This was our 2nd stay and they have made the hotel a much more dog friendly place.
We were able to have an evening meal and breakfast with our dogs and made welcome.
The gluten free options for a main meal have also improved and there was lots of choice.
It's still a pity we are not allowed to walk our dogs around the golf course.
Could have done with a fridge in the room.
Hard EV chargers. Good location near M42. Staff helpful. Nice bathroom and suite.
In my room couldn’t turn the air con off/was broken. Was told by staff to open windows if I couldn’t turn it down. Food at the attached restaurant/pub not very good. Very little choice for vegetarian other than 1 pizza a salad or a pastry none with vegetables. Decided on a pizza very little flavour. No vegetable options even as a side just chips, chips and more chips. Room was clean holes in net curtains.Bed wasn’t comfortable and pillows weren’t great not a good nights sleep either night I stayed there. Although I was given a suite which was spacious the staff were accommodating and they let me remain in the same room the following night rather than having to change rooms.
Hotel was fairly average, probably a 3 star not a 4. Pool was nice but very busy, the location was handy for where we needed to go the next day. The bar was nice but service quite slow. The breakfast was nice.
We had issues with our evening meal, which we had in the Hathaways pub, really slow service and lack of communication from the staff. We ended up leaving before our dessert arrived because it was taking too long. I mentioned it at the time and the staff were every apologetic and we got a discount off our final bill.
Very clean and modern
Nothing
Was a mess the rooms they are to noisy I couldn’t get no sleep at all when I try to let the manager know about the room he kicked off and I decided to leave I never had bad experience like that in my life I don’t recommend it at all. Thank you !
Location was good for the work event I was attending.
Spa needs a refurb, quite old and used flooring etc which made it feel unclean. Steam room didn’t smell nice. Rooms were a bit tacky, old furniture. Decent for a 1 night quick stay (if your business is covering it) but I wouldn’t stay here if it’s for leisure you will probably be disappointed.
The room was big with tv coming out the bed and the bath was massive
Needed cleaning more , hairs , pen marks on the sheets , fake eyelash found , hand prints in the mirror in bathroom , rude lady on the desk , needs vending machines I couldn’t get drinks on the night , food was ok burnt items , afternoon tea was very good
