Pros:

The rooms were big and comfortable. We had access to a kitchen and all equipment. The location was perfect during the Day of the Dead celebrations.

Cons:

The window to the room looked out onto the cleaning cupboard and the staff used the cupboard throughout the day and therefore we couldn't keep the curtains open for natural light. There was a problem with the water and we couldn't take a shower, wash our hands or flush the toilet. The showers are quite old in general. The staff did try to fix the problem but this lasted two days out of our three day stay and we weren't offered any sort of compensation.

Very basic cheap option
Pros:

Great location, good size of the room

Cons:

The shower had only a small drizzle of hot water, so you had to shower cold. There were some ants in the room.

Decent stay for short stays
Pros:

You get what you paid for. Cheap hotel, small room. Self checkin is convenient. Hotel in walking distance to many restaurants.

Looked better on the pictures. Little dark in the room. Water pressure basically non-existent…don’t expect a decent shower there.

Was good enough for our 1 night during our travel to the west coast.

Cons:

The shower was horrible. No pressure at all.

Una estancia sin bañarse

Lo negro en el arroz:
Durante nuestra estancia, al momento del baño, notamos una falla importante: al abrir la llave de agua caliente, solo durante los primeros dos segundos salía un buen chorro de agua. Después, el flujo disminuía drásticamente, quedando en un pequeño hilito que no permitía bañarse adecuadamente.

Se reportó el problema a los encargados, pero lamentablemente no pudieron resolverlo. Fueron tres días sin poder tomar un baño en condiciones dignas.

Al parecer, la causa es la falta de presión en la línea de agua caliente. Este problema podría solucionarse instalando una bomba de presión automática, que se activa al detectar el flujo de agua al abrir la llave. Sería una mejora importante para la experiencia de los huéspedes.

Pros:

Central for all the sights with many a few blocks away.Staff was extremely helpful.Bed with a private bathroom,shared kitchen .

Cons:

Beds were a little firm for our liking.sometimes the hot water in the shower lost pressure and stopped.More of an inconvenience than a problem.

Great location and very quiet
Pros:

Staff were friendly and polite. The room was clean and very quiet during the night, which was excellent. The location was perfect to get to all the main places around Oaxaca and had a great cafe around the corner. It felt very secure and in a safe part of the neighborhood. It was away from roads with lots of traffic.

Cons:

The hostel is not signed, and Google maps directed us to the wrong house. It's very confusing as each property is gated. We didn't receive clear instructions on how to access the property before we arrived.
The shower was not great. We had 3 people in our group, and not everyone could shower each night due to poor water pressure. I tried on 2 occasions on the same day to have a shower without success. To add to this, only hot water was available, so the showers we did have were uncomfortably hot. Talking with staff this seemed normal...
No air conditioning in the rooms either, however there was a fan.
