Mount Lofty House is an exceptional property that completely exceeded our expectations. The location is breathtaking, with serene gardens that make the whole experience feel peaceful and secluded. Our room was magnificent—beautifully appointed, spacious, and incredibly comfortable.

The food and wine were outstanding, showcasing the best of the region, and every meal felt special. What truly set our stay apart, though, was the staff. They were genuinely friendly, attentive, and exceptionally hospitable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

We’re already looking forward to returning—and next time, we’ll be staying longer. Mount Lofty House is a place you can’t help but want to come back to.

Hardys Verandah Restaurant is an awesome experience. Hotel the staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was really comfortable with nice views, and the breakfast was first class.
The hotel is very special and maintained to the highest standard.

We have BEEN LUCKY IN LIFE to stay at many of the nicest hotels and accommodation houses from Iceland to Azerbaijan. Mount Lofty House (in the Adelaide Hills) is the equal of any of them. It was our 40th Wedding Anniversary and we were looking for a quiet relaxing weekend away from all the noise and 'hype'. We think the accommodation, food, the service and the complimentary tour and the facilities are World Class!

The reception was Warm, with champaigne and mini tour. The pool was Warm with Cocktails. The full sized Billiard Room transported us back to the 1830s and the guest rooms all luxuriously appointed. The Breakfast was as good as in Milan or Paris and the staff were so gracious, never intruding, but always 'there'. Our dinner at Marther Hardy's was so amazing, at finish, we were moved to visit the kitchen to congratulate Chef and his team. It was that good. We also recommend the 'pink gin' cocktail (more than one).

The complimentary formal 'House Tour' was just great fun. The wine seller with $8,000 bottles on offer, and with secret military tunnels and evidence of the great fires. We cannot speak highly enough of the staff, the room, the food and the fun. We cannot wait to go back. It was our first time, but not the last time.

We had an incredible stay at Mount Lofty House. The staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. The food was outstanding and the room, restaurants, grounds and views were absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly memorable 5 star getaway.

Breathtaking venue and hotel. The staff are at the hotel, spa and the history tour with Chris were incredible, friendly and attentive. They really take pride in making each guests experience wonderful. We look forward to coming here every year as it’s always a special experience each time.

An excellent stay at Mount Lofty it doesn't disappoint. A warm welcome with a glass of bubbles and we loved Room 8 right by the garden pool and perfect for the hot weather. Nothing was too much trouble from Christopher and the team. Thank you, we will be back.

First time to South Australia and we did it as a road trip. We spent two nights in the Adelaide Hills at Mount Lofty House and absolutely loved it. The staff were brilliant, genuinely funny and so welcoming. Breakfast was served in a beautiful setting overlooking spectacular views, and afternoon cocktails in the garden were a highlight. We really enjoyed the history tour of the house as well. The choc chip cookies were a definite favourite 🤣 and it was such a beautiful touch to receive the book on departure. A truly memorable stay.
