Harbour Hotel Fowey

Room slightly tired, few carpet stains, skirting board scuffed Shutters peeling. Bathroom sealant coming away and cracked tile

Overpriced for out of season

The only small negative, where the blue sofas were situated the occasional round tables were too big and if a couple were sat on them one side there really wasn’t enough room for you to sit the other! If there were smaller rectangular tables there would be more room. Then different couples could sit either side.

The drinks were unrealistically expensive, particularly the ordinary wines
We had to leave for health reasons after 2 days but the manager, although very caring, was not able to cancel the charge for the third day very enjoyable

Nothing, the hotel is perfect

Parking is tight, very happy to have a parking space rhough. Be prepared for very many turns to get into spaces.

Again, as with other hotels with showers in the bath, there was no rail/handle to assist in getting into and out of the bath. This can very often lead to falls risk for elderly or less agile visitors.
There is very little lounge room, the only means being 2 small couches in the small bar area

Our only dislike is allowing Dogs into the Restaurant for Breakfast feel this is vey unhygienic.Total understand that Dogs to be allowed into the hotel but not where people are eating.

Parking charge on top of high end cost

No parking spaces and parking is 5-10 mins walk away up and down a very steep hill.
Room was too hot and the windows don’t open properly.
Hair on bathroom floor at check-in, was not mine.
Shower cubicle floor and grout - brown, was once white.
Breakfast room badly laid out so people are in each other's way and over-crowded - had to wait for a table.
Tables wiped in such a way that any food on them is thrown to the floor in the wiping motion.
Breakfast pastries - raw inside.
They keep asking you to pay for a hot breakfast at every opportunity - before check-in, at check-in, at breakfast.
Staff not friendly.
Archaic lift that does not arrive when called as someone has inevitably left the door open.
Drastically overpriced for what it is. Would not stay here again.

The male bartender, barely a word.
Then proceeded to use the noisy glass washer and clang about with the coffee machine whilst we were trying to have a quiet drink.
We could hardly hear each other speak at times, we left after one drink, no wonder the bar was empty!

Carpet in the room was dirty, rooms not soundproofing. Indoor comunal areas very small and can be very crowded. Would be good to be notified in advance when there’s a wedding happening as can be very loud.
