The front desk staff were the most incompetent people I have ever encountered. I was there for a conference with my company, which I was informed had already been paid for. When I checked in, I gave my personal credit card and double checked with the lady checking me in that my card would only be used for incidentals, to where she agreed. I was placed on the 10th floor and had no idea there was construction occurring on the 12th floor, where it wasn't a huge issue, it would've been nice to have been told. The elevators in the hotel were also down half of the time, which was very inconvenient, as there were 2 other big events happening in the area and the hotel was busy. I also became aware that a few individuals were stuck in one of the elevators for a couple of hours, which was very frustrating as that could've been one of my colleagues or I. The main issue with my stay was that as I was checking out of the hotel, I wasn't made aware that I was being charged for not only the hotel room but for overnight valet for 2 nights for a vehicle that I did not have. The way I found out about the charges was from my colleague who had asked me if I had also been charged $600 from the hotel. When I looked at my credit card transactions, I noticed 2 pending charges, one for $606.98 and the other for $156. My colleague was speaking with, what I presume to be the front desk manager, about what was going on. The manager had a stack of papers, and I recall her saying "this is what our sales department gave us", which gave me the impression that she had no idea what to do. Instead of trying to help us understand what was going on or be helpful, she kept giving us "reasons" as to why there was no communication to us about anything regarding our stay or why we were misinformed. My colleagues and I weren't anticipating having this issue and were late to our conference, so my company had to reimburse me personally, which was very inconvenient. On our way to the airport, I received the receipt from my stay, which I had to forward to my manager to be reimbursed. That's when I noticed the valet charge for 2 nights for a red Ford mustang, as to which I was not in possession of. I, of course, was furious and tried getting in contact with someone at the front desk to get these charges refunded. I called them 5 times and never got through to anyone. I then called the corporate office to inform them of my situation and get the charges refunded. The lady at the corporate office was very understanding and helpful and was actually able to get me in contact with someone at my hotel's front desk. I explained the situation and the lady did say she was sorry and that the charges for the valet would be refunded. Overall, there was a lot of miscommunications, the staff was very unorganized, and I was very unhappy with my experience. I will not be coming back to this hotel, nor will I recommend anyone to stay here.
Stayed at this hotel for two nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and stocked with all that you would expect in a hotel room. Rooms were large. The Valet Parking was great. They took very good care of our vehicle. It was brought to us quickly after we texted them. Jim R. was exceptional. Very friendly and helped us load and unload our luggage. Would recommend this place to stay
The staff was great and the beds were comfortable.
The shower took 15 minutes to get warm with low pressure. It also shook the entire wall and the water was coming out of the shower head like a sprinkler. 3 of the 4 elevators were broke. So there was a wait to get to any floor. You pretty much had to pay for valet parking which was $65 a day on top of the cost of the room. The next closest parking lot was a ways down the block and was still $18 per day to park. There were also a few of the power outlets in the room that existed but you could not plug anything into them because they had some sort of block or something stuck in them. Very frustrating for the amount of money I spent. So much that we left a day early.
I want to extend my sincere thanks to Kim the General Manager and Charene at the front desk of the Hyatt House Downtown for the outstanding service and professionalism they showed during my stay.
Thanks to my own scheduling mistake and apparent inability to correctly book a reservation for the proper day, I ended up needing help straightening everything out. Kim and Charene handled the situation quickly, professionally, and with a genuinely positive attitude, making what could have been a stressful situation completely painless.
What stood out most was how patient, accommodating, and personable they both were throughout the entire process. It’s rare these days to come across customer service that feels both professional and genuinely kind at the same time, and their effort absolutely did not go unnoticed.
Thank you both again for the help and hospitality. It was very much appreciated.
I don’t usually write reviews much.. but we absolutely loved our stay at the Hyatt Place in downtown Denver, the view was amazing, the room was nice and cozy. Very clean. We wanted to especially thank Jim R, down at the valet, he was so awesome from his polite service to his diligence on getting us unloaded from the car in a timely manner. We’ll be back next time we’re in town. 😊
Great location, nice, clean rooms, and the friendliest valets and staff. Jim R. was so welcoming and inviting when we arrived at the valet. He set a nice tone that was followed by the same great service with the front desk, bar tender and everyone we interacted with.
Location was great able to catch train back to airport from location. Restaurants and shopping very close.

Location is ok
First of all, I arrived here around 2 am due to a late flight. It was hilarious to find out that the facility does not provide free parking for the guests. I was offered the option to use their valet parking service, which costs $64 per night, or to park nearby at a street parking meter, which requires waking up at 8 am to pay or risk a fine. Second, the street parking meters are limited to 2 hours, so you're forced to move the car every 2 hours (I don't know if that's enforceable, but that's the rule here). Third, there are no free water bottles in the room or on the property you have to carry water from the first floor in a plastic glass or bring your own. After checking into the room, I found thick black hair sticking out of the hand towel.
Breakfast is genuinely terrible, honestly, the worst I've seen in a hotel in a while.
But the best part about this place is that around 9:50am, I started to hear some drilling and construction noises. It's 11:12am right now, and drilling is still here. Unbelievably low-quality service.
Spacious rooms
Basic breakfast, nothing special about it. Basic room amenities — no safe deposit, very small coffee maker, not even a bag for dirty laundry.

Quick Denver trip, overnight, resulted in a single Friday night stay at this property. A clean room was provided, albeit a bit noisy with ambient sounds, and an efficient check in that included incorrect information about dinner service at the bar. The highlight of the night was the valet service. Jim R. Was on duty upon arrival and was quite busy with multiple drop offs and departures. He stayed very poised and very professional which indicated his hospitality professionalism.
I would stay here again based on his performance alone.
We had a great stay at Hyatt Place downtown Denver. We were especially impressed with the valet service. Jim helped us each of the 3 days we were there and he was incredibly friendly as well as prompt. It never took longer than 3 minutes to pull our car around and he always remembered us when we dropped the car off and picked it up. We had a lot of errands to run and were in and out a lot so the valet service was going to make or break our stay and it was a resounding positive experience.
