Clean staff
Old needs remodel elevator first
The room was good, bed was comfortable and quiet also. Hotel seems to being updated so I think that's going to help.
Hotel staff when I checked in were not the friendliest and didn't seem to want to make my experience any better. I was there for an emergency stay and there was no empathy shown by the staff.
Price of $500 per night for a cheap motel room.
Nothing
Everything… it’s very old , dirty and outdated. They advertise a jacuzzi that doesn’t work . They don’t have regular TV channels for guests , like 4 NBC or 2 CBS . We couldn’t watch a football game on a regular channel . Our room had a bad musty Oder . Will not return
Was able to check in an hour early that was nice.
Close to stores and restaurants.
The room was quiet and comfortable.
The breakfast was not great. 1 waffle iron for the 20 + people. We skipped it due to the line to gain access and stay on schedule.
The pool and spa were not open. This was not advertised at the time i booked the room.
The bathroom was run down and not pleasant.
Found this room reasonably priced during busy holiday weekend. at Mammoth. It’s a bit of a diamond in the rough. Yes, needs some updating, painting, rug cleaning in hallways especially, but if you can look past the superficial, this place is a gem.
Here’s what we loved- covered parking that connects to to the hotel. pet friendly, spacious rooms with small kitchenette- microwave, sink, counter, fridge, comfy beds and free breakfast. Ok, breakfast is not all perfect- pastries hard, eggs not good, BUT bagels fine toasted, waffle maker, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal and self serve coffee/tea and hot chocolate in the lobby. And, close to everything.
We paid twice as much a few weeks back to stay at Outbound just up the street which was cleaner but has outdoor parking and smaller rooms.
Cons: upkeep needed, pool closed, avoid eggs and muffins
If you go in with right expectations, this is a great deal.
Location was great.
The hotel is not maintained well. Carpet on the hallway was filthy and unhealthy. Carpet inside the room was dirty. A/C was not working and squeaking the whole night and we could not sleep. Bathroom water was not flowing well and puddling up.
The Inn is in a great location within Mammoth Lakes. Walking distance from shops, restaurants, a theater. Short drive to fishing lakes, Minarets, or Mammoth mountain if in winter. The room was decent. large with a microwave and mini fridge, 720p flat screen with many channels. Breakfast included: powder eggs, sausages, hash , fresh make yourself waffles, assortment of cereals, juices and yogurts, coffee bar in the main lobby. Staff was pleasant. The renovation was taking place daily, but did not impact our stay. The resort fee was waived.
It was unfortunate that the pool and spa were not available.
Location and all of Mammoth Lakes is amazing.
Extremely old and outdated interior. Carpets were disgusting. Room was an early 90s style relic.
It’s a little outdated but the service was great. They’re under renovation though so I’m sure it will improve.
Wir hatten eine Unterkunft
Das Zimmer hatte eine verstopfte Toilette, das Frühstück wurde nach 8:30 nicht mehr aufgefüllt.
Shilo is well worn and dated but clean and comfortable.
Second time staying here. 3 days each.
Hope to be back next year for the Mammouth motocross and stay at Shilo.
The staff were friendly and helpful however the first sign should have been the old style cut keys they handed me for the room.
So I'm not a huge complainer, if the rooms clean and comfortable then I'm fine. This hotel deceived me by the AI pictures. First off the hallways are very dim lit, lighting was terrible, the elevator sounded as if it was going to break making loud noises. Once in my room the first thing I noticed was the smell, very musty and almost smelled like mildew, then the noise. My toilet had a loud leak and was running through the entirety of the stay. Everything in the room is straight out of the 90's wooden alarm clock, brass colored fixtures etc. The bed had a brown stain on the mattress, the tile in the bathroom dingy and brown colored grout and the wallpaper in many parts of the room was peeling off. I understand inflation and the way it's taken hold of this state, but $200 a night for this hotel is WAY to much. This place should be $120 max. If my stay was any longer than the one night I would of asked for a refund and found somewhere else to stay, but because I didn't want to deal with the inconvenience, I dealt with it.
Location great !
Hope the signage and pools are restored soon !
Roof over my head. I like the location.
Shower/bathroom was clean.
Trash under the bed from previous occupants.. Gross.
Part of the window stool base and decorative trim was removed showing wood and insulation underneath.
Not enough fruit for breakfast.
Only one waffle maker, causing long wait times. Recommend having two waffle makers.
I did not like the renovations but they are much needed.
Amazing, didn’t realize I dropped my ID and the cleaning lady was so nice and found it. All the workers are really nice and caring.
