Cons:

If I were rating this hotel on service alone, I would give it 10/10. Everyone on the day staff was genuinely lovely, kind and friendly. Unfortunately, a hotel is also a place to sleep, rest and shower, and that’s where things fell short.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but two things are worth mentioning.

First, the water pressure in our room was ridiculously low. Decent pressure meant cold water, while warm water came with such low pressure that showering took twice as long. Thankfully, the lovely and very efficient day staff managed to fix this, and we really appreciated their help.

The bigger issue was the soundproofing. We were on the floor just below the rooftop, where an event was held on our second night. After two hours of trying to sleep, I went to the front desk at 23h30 to ask for earplugs. I was told people were leaving. Well, they weren’t. The music, chatter, chairs and tables being dragged across the floor, and metal clattering continued well past midnight. We could hear practically everything from our room, including the entire process of dismantling the event. When I went back to the front desk, all I got was an apology and the explanation that people had only left after midnight, despite having initially been told they were already leaving.

Maybe we were unlucky with our room location, but surely rooms so close to the rooftop should be properly soundproofed? The usual hotel noise on the first night was annoying but tolerable, but there was also music playing from the rooftop till about 23h00. The noise on the second night was simply unbearable.

The hotel is honestly in serious need of renovation. It’s a shame because the day staff were absolutely wonderful and deserve all the praise.

At the end of the day, a decent shower and a good night’s sleep should be the bare minimum for a hotel, no matter how lovely the staff are. Otherwise, why are we even paying for a place to rest?

Excellent séjour, excellent accueil
Pros:

L’accueil et les excellentes recommandations, l’emplacement, la vue sur la baie, le confort de la chambre, la qualité du petit-déjeuner, la propreté, des places pour stationner son véhicule (contre paiement du service mais inutile d’aller loin chercher sa voiture comme dans d’autres villes en Sicile)…

Beautiful hotel, extremely clean and a great location!
Pros:

This property was extremely clean and a really good location.
The reception staff was wonderful. Very accommodating and super helpful with taxis and very quick check-in and check out.

First class base to explore Taormina and stay in the centre - excellent shortcuts and pretty garden.
Pros:

Rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and well resourced. Staff were very friendly, cheerful and extremely helpful. Breakfast options, quality and freshness were superb. Peaceful ambience on the rooftop terrace with stunning views from the balcony
