Hit and miss. Expensive when it misses. Good when it hits.
Pros:

Location is great. Big room. Clean enough.

Cons:

Breakfast is a wide selection but not especially fresh. Eg the cooked eggs has been prepared so far ahead they were a rubbery texture.
May bathroom sink was blocked for 2 days.
Also, I had an issue caused by the wrong amount was overcharged to my card on check in. Accidents gain but their mistake meant the stay cost me an additional amount in extra international charges and the different exchange rates.

In the heart of Kyoto
Pros:

We stayed 3 nights at The Royal Park Hotel Kyoto Sanjo in March 2026. While we were only 2 people, we had a room with three beds (we opted to have the third bed so we can lay out our luggage and belongings). The hotel is well appointed and had the best shower heads and pressure of all the hotels we stayed at in Japan. Price was very reasonable. Location is fantastic. Just a 5 minute walk to Sanjo station. For those who like to shop and eat, it is located steps away from the main shopping street in Kyoto and Sanjo Meiten-gai Shopping Arcade. Walkable to Nishiki Market and Gion. We arrived in Kyoto via Shinkansen and opted for taxi to the hotel so we didn't have to carry so much luggage on the local trains. Relatively inexpensive around 1200-1400 yen. A Lawson's store is a block away (like 7-11). We took gorgeous cherry blossom photos near the Kamo River. We loved this area of town and would hands down stay here again.

Really like the location, plenty of restaurants and convenience stores near by. Close to subway and train station and a taxi rank near by.
We upgraded to a bigger room and it was worth it for the extra room.

Hotel with everything around the corner
Pros:

The more we saw Kyoto, the more we felt that the location of the hotel was really good, near shopping and near subway to Osaka.

Cons:

Don’t really have anything to complain about.

Pros:

Все вежливые, старались помочь. Выдают адаптеры по запросу. Очень хорошая ванная комната.

Cons:

Завтрак заканчивается в 10:00, но перестают запускать уже в 9:30. Официант в зале при этом напрямую говорит, чтобы быстрее заканчивали есть. Это очень странно. С таким отношением никогда не сталкивались.

Pros:

We loved our stay here. Large, modern, and clean rooms. The bath was deep. Staff were very helpful and they store luggage. Bar and restaurant onsite. Since they don’t have that many rooms the laundry was open a few times for use. Breakfast buffet had a nice selection. Location next to the train station was ideal. Lots to do around the hotel and plenty of food options. Would stay here again.
