Nice hotel in Plymouth
Pros:

Nice location. Hotel is getting some upgrades, so there’s noise and dust in certain areas now. Will be nice when it’s done. Very nice staff, Dan was helpful. Check out the hotel when it’s done with renovations.

Relaxing stay in Plymouth
Pros:

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful relaxing couple of days in Plymouth staying at Hotel 1620. The room was completely redone - beautiful bathroom - and though the furniture hasn’t yet been replaced (the GM told us it’s on its way) the bed and couch were very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful - shout out to Cepta for getting us hot water for tea before we even asked! And the pool and hot tub were relaxing after walking all over the waterfront. So many great restaurants and shops nearby. It’s the perfect location!

Pros:

The location was great, walking distance to restaurants on the waterfront

Cons:

The room could have been cleaner. The wastebasket in the bathroom had trash in it from the previous guests along with debris on the floor, behind the bathroom door. The room could have had been more brightly lit, not enough lighting. A full-length mirror would have been a nice added touch.

Stellar Service Employee Rick
Pros:

I was at the special ed teachers conference with my wife and the bartender Rick was working alone but it was the single best conference experience I’ve had. He did an exceptional job handling our group of 125 teachers. Rick is truly an asset to the 1620 Hotel.

Hospitality at its finest
Pros:

My family and I stayed at this hotel for one night so my son could use the pool and splash pad. We all had a wonderful time. My son loved the water slides in the splash pad area. When the evening came I realized I had forgotten to bring milk for my son. He usually likes a bottle before bed. I went for a walk to the neighboring stores but none sold any. When I came back Dan was working the front desk. He happily went to the kitchen and grabbed me a glass for my son. Thank you so much, Dan! You’re a life saver!

“Pray we do not alter it any further”
Pros:

Awful experience on so many levels. Even before arriving, our reservation wasn’t honored—it was changed without notice and we learned the frustrating truth at check in. Reason given? People paying higher rates are given priority to take rooms as the management chooses. No notice. No recourse. The next indignity was yellowed tap water and a bathroom sink that wouldn’t drain. The hotel engineer was unable to fix it. His walkie talkie, however, entertained us with the miseries of other guests enduring noisy kids running in the halls at 11pm, and a litany of other complaints. Put a real damper on our trip. Never again.

A wonderful hotel for our conference but good for families too.
Pros:

This was our first experience at this particular hotel. I was attending a conference and the venue was fabulous. The staff is so nice, and when someone passed me in the hallway they said hello. The rooms were comfortable, although the hotel is undergoing some restoration. I hope that includes rooms on the lower pool level because of the moisture.

There were many families here during the weekend using the pool area but it didn’t interfere with our event,

I want to give a special shout out to the catering crew. Matthew, who made custom omelettes on our last day. As well as Kat, Kayla, AJ, Erin, Franque and Alyssa for making meals a joy each day..

Thank you!
