Great Location, Terrific Staff
Pros:

I can’t say enough how much I loved this hotel. Its location is ideal, positioned between Paddington Station and Hyde Park, with many tube/subway stations really close by. Also there are many restaurants and very nice homes to just stroll by. The hotel is very clean, and terrific shape, the room was fantastic, the sheets were crisp, clean and brand new. I not only will come back, I have reserved a room for mid March. Also, the breakfast is great and the staff throughout the entire hotel is just fantastic and super, super friendly.

Brilliant hotel
Pros:

Yes, extremely friendly and customer focussed.
Very straightforward. Drop the bags before check in time was greatly appreciated. Ariana was so professional.

Our secondary house in London
Pros:

As usual, the Darlington Hyde Park Hotel is our secondary house when we go to London.
Nice place, well placed just near stations, buses and restaurants, and few minutes to the parks and Oxford Street. Good breakfast and the staff is kind. We come back soon.

Good hotel
Pros:

The sink was supposed to have one tap for both cold and hot water simultaneously, but having two taps was very inconvenient.
The room doesn’t have any telephone or any connection between the costumer and reseption when he need

My Favourite Hotel in London.
Pros:

This was my 3rd stay at The Darlington! I was recommended this hotel by my Dad who visited back in the 80s.
I love this cute hotel. Breakfast staff are amazing and very kind. Front desk is great too!
Single Room is small, but all I am there for is sleeping, so it is perfect.
Room has a mini fridge which is a must for me who has food allergies.

FYI - Some rooms do not have step-free access but quite doable with the small lot of carpeted stairs.

Great location. 5min walk from Paddington Station, so easy transport to/from Heathrow.
I will be back in 2026.

Cama matrimonio muy pequeña. No es la mejor atención al cliente del mundo, y pudieran mejorar. Me cobraron por custodia al excederme en recoger las maletas del hotel. Efectivamente, si, habia un anuncio al respecto en el front desk, pero ni lo ví, ni nos avisaron al respecto.

Good enough value for the money in January, but I would not stay at other times of the year.
Pros:

Property is old and quirky, but no surprise there. Room 138 looked out onto the pretty street scene below, thankfully the newer generation windows block most of the street noise. Lighting in the room was very poor. Our room did have elevator access but it was clear that many rooms do not, an issue presumably if you are traveling with many pieces of luggage (as we were.) No real facilities on site, but again, that was expected. Breakfast was fine, but it ends at 9:30 on weekdays, a bit early if you have partied too much the night before. Property is located a 7 minute walk from Paddington Station, which was the primary reason we booked it. Conversely, it is at least a 5 minute walk to any type of restaurant or pub activity.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, die Betten sind bequem, die Lage sehr gut

Cons:

Der Mann beim Empfang war sehr unterkühlt, aber viele Mitarbeiter waren nett. 5 Pfund dafür, dass man seinen kleinen Rucksack 2 Stunden länger dort lässt, weil man einen späten Rückflug hat, waren dann aber schon sehr viel. Das ist nicht sehr kundenfreundlich.
