The cooked breakfast was rubbish bacon overcooked and fatty hash browns undercooked fried eggs greasy some hard scrambled egg did look appetising I was I never purchased breakfast apart from that great hotel
I booked a room and the view was awesome
If I book a room with a queen size bed, and I pay for a queen size bed, then I expect a queen size bed, not two single mattresses pushed together. We’re not even so much as a mattress topper on me, and my partner slipped through the middle of several occasions, and that is an absolute joke a queen size bed does not qualify for two single mattress put together.
The location and sea view (although windows badly needing cleaning)
Outdated appliances - shower and bath, one tap did not work. Temperature of Hotel and room too hot. Cleanliness could be improved - room quite dusty especially edges of carpet and dressing table legs. Stains on carpet. Bedside table not emptied from previous occupants.
Never answered the phone , when they did , they were clueless
Lovely, friendly atmosphere, staff that made us feel welcome and looked after. The spa is pure luxury.
Everything was perfect. My only suggestion would be extending the opening hours of the spa - a late night and/or early morning swim would have been just the thing.

Location of the hotel was good
When we arrived, we were told to wait until 3:00 PM because that’s when check-in starts. At 3:00 PM, they told us to wait another 5 minutes. At 3:10 PM, they again said to wait 5 more minutes. At 3:20 PM, they told us to sit down and that they would inform us when the room was ready—but they never did. The staff clearly do not care about hotel guests.
Later, when we went to ask if the room was ready, it turned out it had already been prepared, but no one informed us—even though we were sitting nearby the whole time.
When we finally went to the room, it was completely different from the one we paid £316 for 2 nights. The window was covered in bird droppings, the roof outside the window was full of rubbish, and the room itself was dirty (photos attached below).
We immediately went back to reception at around 3:45 PM to explain that this was not the room we booked. Once again, we experienced staff who had no interest in listening or helping guests. We tried to explain everything, but the receptionist simply didn’t care. So we asked to speak with a manager. She even asked “why?!”—which was absurd.
Eventually, she agreed to call the manager and told us to wait in the lobby. After 10 minutes, we asked if the manager was coming, as it was already 4:00 PM—over an hour of delay. She rudely told us that the manager was already in the room and said “go upstairs!”
When we went upstairs, the manager wasn’t there—only cleaners, who were cleaning the toilet and sink using the same cloth. They angrily told us that the window is cleaned by a window cleaner once a month and that they would not clean it.
We asked again to speak with the manager. Eventually, the manager arrived and moved us to another room. However, later in the evening we discovered that next to the room were the hotel’s heating pipes, boiler, and ventilation system, which caused a constant loud humming noise—even at night. As a result, we couldn’t sleep at all.
