AWFUL EXPERIENCE

Cons:

Would not reccomend and will not return.
No idea how this place is marked as a 4*!!

Bedroom was a furnace, no AC. basic instant packet nescafe coffee, bath base was grotty and dirty. Musty smell in the room assume due to no extractor in the bathroom so became a sauna when showered however water pressure dire.

Breakfast was basic cheap ingredients, no proper coffee, machines had mind of their own which was dangerous with hot coffee and water.

Would have been fabulous in its Hay day but now its just grotty, run down and needing major work.

Parking is also an extra £15/night, which is a joke.

Pros:

Location was good but breakfast was not nice , nothing special, the only thing which was good is spa otherwise it’s waste of money. Don’t like room and toilet and nothing was provided in it. Never going again.

Reception fine friendly gave good advise on parking :-)

Cons:

Room 5th floor executive double roasting attic rooms no aircon not that fancy for £222.00. Had to leave bedroom door open not much help. Night time bar . 10.45 no coffee machine all switched off was told we have coffee in the room !!! ( Just instant we wanted a night cap coffee) I was going to go straight down and complain and ask to be moved my husband said dont worry it will cool down. BIG MISTAKE, ( I have to say in the hotel defence they did not know and get chance to put this right ) (Keep clear of land view and 5th floor during summer)

We won’t be back
Pros:

The lady receptionist on arrival was excellent, as was the suited manager who helped us with luggage as my elderly mother is disabled and needed me to help her. And the location and views from the front bedroom were fabulous.

Cons:

The rear bedroom was too hot, but we were unable to open the window more than a couple of inches because the nesting seagull family (with 2 chicks) were a risk of coming in.
The restaurant dinner was pretty disastrous, no pizzas and two mains from the list not available, and only one white wine from the list ! The delay was also too long, we were there at opening (6pm) and our food only arrived at 6.45. To be fair, the fish and chips was fine.
And worst of all when the fire alarm went off at 11.45pm the one young male staff who appeared didn’t have a clue what to do, and there was no clear direction or assistance for my sister and my 94 year old disable mother.

Disappointing
Pros:

Breakfast was ok location ok

Cons:

Rooms dated hot above kitchen so noisy had to complain at night due to noise off a fellow guest talking very loudly kept me awake. Was not worth the cost .at 11pm bar was on table only you could not pay cash for a drink. Long wait to check in one member of staff big queue.

Lovely big room, lovely breakfast, friendly staff, nice big gym & pool, great location!
Pros:

Lovely old Victorian building. Nicely equipped gym.
Super huge room.

Cons:

Bedrooms have no air con & our room had patio doors rather than windows but they had restrictions on how much they would open.
