It was ok but no amenities at all no restaurant in the hotel

It was very outdated! Needs a remodel bad. Wall paper was peeling, carpet was gross.

Decent stay.
Pros:

Great location. Beautiful lobby and nice size room. Hand towel and bed sheet looked like droplets of fresh blood. Sides of toilet had urine build up. Constant drilling noise. I didnt complain due to price point just asked for fresh sheets. Overall room was nice and location was great. I did bring my own bath towel and always disinfect with my lysol wipes. The urine build up on the sides of the bowl i didnt touch. Overall I did like hotel.

Pros:

Perry and Keith are the greatest valet guys I’ve ever come across. They are on top of their game. The room is beautiful. I’ve been to DC numerous times and this is by far the greatest hotel experience. The food is excellent. I cannot say enough if you’re looking for a great hotel to stay in the DC area, this is the one.

Comfortable bed, nice towels, an extra blanket and friendly valet.

Cons:

I arrived late in the evening and I was placed in an ADA compliant room. I’m glad the hotel accommodates those guests that need the service but I don’t. The closet only had short hang at waist level (not suitable for my dresses) and the threshold into the shower had broken plastic pieces sticking up from the floor on which the user could easily trip over or step on accidentally. A hazard for guests less aware.

Great location, friendly and kind staff, decent gym, but rooms and cleaning could be improved.

Cons:

bed soft, fridge did not work, cleaning consisted of changing towels, making bed, and emptying trash. The bathroom was not cleaned, the carpet was not swept or vacuumed, and surfaces were not wiped.

Top notch service, kind, and accommodating.
Pros:

I was here on a last minute trip highly charged with uncertainty. I was unsure how long I was staying but Chaneé made everything so easy for me as I extended my stay. Z at the bar was pure joy too. I travel to DC frequently and I can’t wait to come back to The Melrose

Bartender Simone is a whole Vibe!!!
Pros:

The bartender Simone, literally the best bar tender I have ever had. She had the whole bar laughing and having a good time. Had such a good time decided to book another night!!!
