Mountain Modern Resort Sedona

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Mountain Modern. Shout out to the overnight front desk associate who accommodated us when we arrived in the middle of the night. Yummy breakfast that we even grabbed to go very early on a few mornings on our way to hike. Clean rooms and great location just outside of the touristy area, which we appreciated. It was quiet. We will be back!

We did not have breakfast. The rooms were nice and clean, but I think the entire property needs better maintenance so the hotel does not look old.

The check-in was a little bumpy, but it all got quickly resolved.. It felt like the resorts in Santa Fe.. It was beautiful clean the park for dogs and humans was really nice.. The mural over the bed was breathtaking, and the map on the wall was unique. We had fun with the crossword in the chalk. I do wish they would’ve had a shower instead of a tub shower combo.. that they had a microwave and refrigerator and recyclable trash and regular trash they had hairdryer they even had a steamer for your clothes. It’s really nice.

The hotel and room were fantastic!! Very retro and welcoming!! The rooms were great and loved the bar and outside area. The general store was super convenient!!!

The dog park and dog friendly property in general was accommodating to our pup, Charlie. Hotel was updated. Outside our room at night there was a water feature that lulled me to sleep! They had a steamer for clothing. Nice extra touches you don’t normally find. Also soaps and shampoo was nice! Need to find the brand for home!

Truly wonderful experience with my dog— facility and room were super clean and functional for myself and all our gear. There was a lovely adjacent private dog park, complete with juniper trees. Overall, highly recommended!

Rooms were nice and clean but Basecamp decor not real suitable for seniors. Bathroom was tiny, water and coffee in room tasted terrible, bring your own. Dog park area is great!
Wine pour in the bar was miniscule.
Our main beef was all the extra charges on our bill not including the pet fee of $30/night.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of January. Perfect time to go since it's off season and much less crowded. The resort was conveniently located and easy to get to. The staff was wonderful and friendly. We especially enjoyed Chris the bartender. He really takes pride in the drinks he makes and was super interesting to talk to. He also gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Our room was clean and spacious. The hot tub was nice and warm and a great treat after our many hikes. The included continental breakfast was very generous. We also tried the breakfast burrito which was delicious. Definitely would stay here again!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Modern Mountain Sedona. Check-in was a breeze, and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful—especially when they assisted us in switching to a room in the back of the property, which made a big difference in reducing traffic noise. The West Sedona location right off Route 89 is ideal: easy access, plenty of parking, and a lovely green space that’s perfect for kids, dogs, or enjoying a peaceful sunset with the red rocks as your backdrop.

Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch for ambiance (though it didn’t put out much heat). We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the included breakfast until our last day—which ended up being a missed opportunity because it was delicious and so convenient. All around, this was a great experience, and we would absolutely stay here again.
