Amazing hotel beside kyoto station
Pros:

Absolutely huge and amazing hotel. Near the train station. Great amenities. Good price for the size and location. 100% would recommend. Lots of food options all around and the service staff were nice too.

No heating/electricity after midnight in winter time??
Pros:

We stayed at the hotel once last year, the only issue was the front desk staffs were chatting to each other instead of helping us, we stood up there for about 10 minutes and finally one person approached us. We decided to forgive you guys since we know you don't have enough English skills, maybe it's the reason you were pretending blind.
When we planned our trip this year, we decided to stay at the same hotel just because of the location which is just outside the central exit. After checking in completed, the lady showed us a peace of paper, informing us there was a mid night maintenance starting from the 2nd midnight , or 3rd night very early time. We were shocked, since there was no electricity at all in the room we were assigned. Is it legal in Japan to not to provide heating in winter time？？？The lady insisted that the hotel provided the ongoing maintenance on the website whilewemade the booking. I am sure there's no such information listed. No one would say at the hotel room without heating in winter time at this latitude. The only compensation was for us to pay $100 more to stay at other room. Give me a break! Please do business in a decent way ! This is not Japanese culture we have experienced. We are just foreign tourists, we don't know the surroundings, and it's late, do we have other options? To make a long story short, we found a very nice hotel within 2 minutes walk- The Thousand, very friendly staffs, great room, great
meals. You may find my review for this hotel as well. No more business at this location any more. Only the motel like room with very thin quilt assigned us gave us the chance to try out your neighbor's. Thank you for that!!!

余裕を持てた旅行でした。

ステーションビルと隣接し、交通機関がスムーズで観光にも便利でとても良かったです。
ホテルの方の対応も親切で、さりげなく接して下さいました。
ホテル内の観光インフォメーションでは、お聞きした後ホテルを出ましたが説明不足がありと、わざわざ走って駅改札口迄教えに来て下さいました。お心遣いに感謝です。有り難うございました。
朝食は和食・ビュッフェとも美味しかったです。

Perfect location in Kyoto!!
Pros:

This hotel is where you want to be! It’s so convenient staying on top of the train station. We shopped and dined at Kyoto station while we were staying here. We also were able to walk to donki a few blocks away, and jump on a bus to visit the Kiyomizu-Dera.

Our room was clean and spacious. They provide pajamas and slippers and all the toiletries you may have forgotten at home.
