Location, friendly staff
The lounge could be better
10-15 minute walk to the harbour, although the dolmus stopped nearby and charged only 80tl. Plenty of large parasols by the pool. Good selection at breakfast although buffet dinner was a little repetitive . Rooms well stocked with toiletries, tea, coffee and 4 bottles of water plus beds very comfortable . A bonus was a full sized fridge with freezer section
No music round the pool which is a positive for me as guests can use earbuds to listen to their own choice of music
Saving of sunbeds in prime positions with no action by staff to discourage this. Often no guests appeared til gone 11.30am
Breakfast brillient. Location spot on.
The staff are absolutly fantastic, everyone single one of them.
I have stayed there multiple times in the past and they never let me down. I intend staying there again in the future.

We have just returned from a week in Northern Cyprus, staying at the Pia Bella Hotel, which we booked through Cyprus Paradise. I wanted to share an honest and balanced review of our experience, as I think there are a few things that may be helpful for other UK travellers to know before booking.
Firstly, although the Pia Bella is advertised as a four-star hotel, based on our own experience we felt that the accommodation we stayed in was closer to what we would personally expect from a three-star hotel.
We booked through Cyprus Paradise and received an offer that included a complimentary upgrade to a Superior Room and half board when booking by a certain time of year. We were therefore looking forward to the upgraded accommodation. However, we were surprised to find that our Superior Room was located in one of the oldest parts of the hotel and was very dated and showing considerable signs of wear. The tap was broken, the flooring was damaged and the units were old and damaged. From what we could see during our stay, the newer and more modern rooms appeared to be located in the main part of the hotel.
We raised our concerns when we arrived and asked whether it would be possible to move to a different room. We were advised that upgrading to another room would cost approximately £800 extra for the week. As we had booked the holiday within a particular budget, this simply wasn’t affordable for us, so we remained in the room we had originally been allocated.
Prior to travelling, I had emailed the hotel explaining that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and asked, if possible, for a quiet room. Unfortunately, our room turned out to be in a particularly noisy location. On three occasions during our week we were kept awake by entertainment taking place in the Garden Bar area, including discos and an engagement party. I completely appreciate that people are on holiday and want to enjoy themselves, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with hotels providing entertainment. However, as we had specifically requested a quiet room, it was disappointing that this didn’t appear to have been taken into consideration.
We also found the half-board restaurant food disappointing and quite limited. Some of the same dishes appeared on consecutive days and, in our opinion, the food didn’t always appear particularly fresh or appetising. As a result, we ended up choosing to eat out on four evenings, as well as eating out during some days, which added considerably to the overall cost of our holiday despite having booked half board.
On a much more positive note, the Garden Bar area itself was lovely. The staff there were extremely friendly and attentive, and we really enjoyed the food available from the bar. Although this was at an additional cost, it was definitely one of the more positive aspects of our experience at the hotel.
Unfortunately, we were also disappointed with the service we received from the Cyprus Paradise representative during our stay. We contacted them because we wanted to book one of the excursions advertised through Cyprus Paradise and were told that they would get back in touch with us to arrange it. Unfortunately, we didn’t hear anything further and therefore missed the opportunity to take the trip.
I also had to chase Cyprus Paradise for information regarding our return airport transfer. Our understanding when booking was that this would be a private transfer. However, on our journey back to the airport we collected other passengers along the way. Sharing a transfer in itself wouldn’t necessarily have been an issue for us, but we would have appreciated being made aware of this beforehand rather than expecting a private transfer.
I also think it is worth mentioning for anyone considering Northern Cyprus that the experience is very different from Southern Cyprus. We hadn’t fully appreciated just how different it would feel before travelling. If you particularly enjoy the more Greek/Cypriot style, atmosphere and experience associated with holidays in Southern Cyprus, it is worth doing some research beforehand, as Northern Cyprus offers something quite different and may not be what you are expecting.
Of course, everyone’s expectations and experiences are different, and I fully appreciate that other guests may have a completely different opinion of both the hotel and Northern Cyprus. This is simply an honest reflection of our own experience.
Overall, there were some positives to our holiday, particularly the Garden Bar and the lovely staff working there. However, taking everything into account — the standard and location of our room, the half-board food, the lack of follow-up regarding the excursion we wanted to book and the issues surrounding our return transfer — the experience did not meet the expectations we had when we booked.
Based purely on our own experience, I personally would not choose to book with Cyprus Paradise again, and we would not return to the Pia Bella Hotel.
