Great staff, clean and tidy hotel, great central location. On-site food is really good - both price and quality (a discount voucher is supplied to residents) for the price point nothing to complain about really, have stayed probably a dozen times on let last 3 years. So that must say something.. it’s close to 3 rail / underground and over found stations, also between 3 bus stops heading to various parts of the city. I use it for work, rather than holiday, so leave early and arrive late. Transport runs from before 6 till around midnight.
There are a few rooms that could do with a lick of paint, as it’s a little tired around the edges. BUT weighed against location, cost and friendliness it’s not a problem for me.
The location was great as I was visiting a venue in Violet Hill a short bus ride away. The hotel is across the road from Kilburn High Road tube station with ten minute journey to Euston train station.
My room was at the rear and there was some noise from the air con/heating system. The only mirror was in the bathroom, there was no mirror in the bedroom and no socket nearby to use the hairdryer in the bathroom.
The bed was very high.
Nothing it wasn’t a good experience at all.
Everything, the staff was not welcoming and quite interrogating, the room wasn’t ready for us even tho we had early check in, the room was very outdated and not clean didn’t match pictures on booking.com, there was even bugs in bed etc.
Lokalizacja
Wygodne łóżko
Mały pokój, problem z przejściem na drugą stronę łóżka
Nieprzyjemny zapach
Brudny brodzik pod prysznicem (brązowe plamy)
Zestaw kosmetyków to płyn 2 w 1
I don’t usually write reviews, but this stay definitely earned one.
We stayed here over the weekend, and it was genuinely the worst hotel experience I’ve had. There was a constant toxic sewage smell throughout the building, the room was boiling hot, and the air-con looked like it retired years ago and barely worked. The bed and pillows felt like sleeping on paving slabs, and the plug sockets were literally coming out of the wall with the slightest touch — very dangerous
We couldn’t even use the sink because the plug was jammed, so we ended up brushing our teeth in the shower like civilisation had moved on without us.
We booked breakfast for the first morning with the idea of deciding later about Sunday — safe to say we didn’t return. The woman running the breakfast area was rude from the second we walked in, the food was poor, we had to eat with wooden cutlery, there were no napkins, and we were refused milk for our coffee… which meant a trip back to our room to grab a milk pot.
The weekend in London itself was great, and the room was only meant to be a place to sleep — but honestly, I think we’d have had a better night’s rest on the Tube platform.
Do NOT stay here.
