Fair play to the Glenview for acknowledging previous concerns
Pros:

Good location for business - staff acknowledged previous review and upgraded room and reduced rate for breakfast. Much better and more comfortable room, plenty of working plug sockets. Much more pleasant stay. Dinner and service was also a lot better than previous visit.

Cons:

Breakfast is still over priced for the menu, perhaps if additional items like eggs benedit or omelette available it would warrant the price but very limited and every is quite basic.

A Truly Wonderful Easter Getaway at Glenview Hotel!
Pros:

My family had an absolutely delightful Easter weekend at Glenview Hotel! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. I’ll admit, I was a little hesitant when booking due to some negative reviews on TripAdvisor, but the incredible package deal (2 nights’ accommodation, breakfasts, and 3-course dinners included) made it irresistible—and I’m so glad we went ahead!

Glenview is a charming, historic luxury hotel dating back to the 1900s. If you’re seeking ultra-modern, tech-heavy accommodations, this may not be the place—but for us, its timeless beauty and connection to nature were perfect. The hotel is well-maintained and clean, with every detail showing the staff’s dedication to preserving its beauty.

The staff throughout the hotel and leisure club were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel completely at ease—as if we were visiting old friends. The restaurant offered stunning views and delicious meals; I was genuinely impressed that such a sophisticated 3-course dinner was included in our package!

Our family also loved the leisure club, and we’re even considering joining their membership. Despite it being Easter weekend, the hotel was wonderfully uncrowded ,allowing for a truly relaxing experience.

I wish I could keep this gem to myself to ensure it stays peaceful, but it deserves every bit of recognition. Glenview Team, thank you so much for such a lovely time to reset with my family. We hope to see you again soon!

Highly recommend but minus the breakfast
Pros:

The views, the atmosphere, the room was beautiful, the pool and jacuzzi was brilliant and the hotel was spotless

Cons:

The breakfast
Very tacky for a 4 star hotel and not value for money at all but you’re up in the mountains so not much other choice

Classic Hotel with Modern Amenities in a Gorgeous Setting
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at the Glenview Hotel & Leisure Club. Alicia & Ruby were incredible servers in the Woodlands when we went for breakfast. We were extremely early & just wanted coffee time. Promised to order if the place started to fill. They couldn’t be more encouraging or relaxed.
The night before, we just went to check out the Leisure Center. Declan couldn’t have been nicer. He was on his way home, but would have talked & shared about the hotel for hours.
Anya, reached out as I stood in the lobby waiting for my husband to gather his cpap he forgot. Later he told me she pulled the best Pint of Guinness he’s had in Ireland. This is his 6th trip!
Food in bar was outstanding!

Very pleasant, relaxing and welcoming, the gardens were lovely despite it being March
Pros:

The service at both the bar and restaurant was excellent and the staff were really friendly.

Cons:

My only minor grievance was that the cooked breakfast I ordered arrived immediately after the porridge I had ordered , a bit of consideration would have allowed me to enjoy both without one getting cold.

Disappointing.
Pros:

Nice location in a good spot for business travel.

Cons:

Very overpriced for what it is. €152 for midweek one night single occupancy and then additional €23.50 for breakfast a bit much. Corridors need sprucing up. Grubby carpets. No sockets by the bed and only sockets working were one for a lamp and the tv, had to unplug both so could charge phone and laptop. Ridiculous that there are double sockets in the room but they have been adapted so do not work.
Service at dinner very slow, loads of staff just standing around. Reception didn’t ask how was the stay either, not interested when checking out.

We had a wonderful stay at The Glenview Hotel. We would book again if we found ourselves in the area
Pros:

The check-in staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Likewise, the breakfast room staff were friendly, attentive and efficient.
The room was very comfortable, with all the amenities you would require.
Breakfast was exceptional. Fresh and cooked to order. There were 5 choices, but the full Irish breakfast set us up for the day. There was also a comprehensive selection of breads, cooked meats and cheeses, and cereal.
We did not eat dinner in the hotel, but the menu looked very good.
On admission we were given a pass for the full use of the spa and leisure facilities for the duration of our stay.

Cons:

No hotel is perfect. However, our room was very good, if a little tired in places. We had no issues with cleanliness or amenities within our room, or the hotel in general.
