At our hotel, four-legged friends are very welcome! To ensure the comfort of all our guests, we kindly ask that dogs do not enter the restaurant during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, nor the terrace or the pool area. However, they are most welcome in our garden, where they can enjoy relaxing moments by your side.

Please note that our restaurants are closed during the months of January and February.

Pros:

Nebensaison mit ruhigem Betrieb. Wunderschöner Ausblick vom Zimmer. Alles sehr sauber. Freundliche Betreuung von der Rezeption. Vielfältige Auswahl beim Frühstücksbuffet. Glutenfreies Brot und Müsli. Hundefreundlich. Hübsche und ruhige Lage. Freundliche Einrichtung. Getränke kostenfrei im Lobbybereich.

Cons:

Alles war perfekt für eine Nacht.

A great place to stay
Pros:

The room was superb with a beautiful what looked like newly installed bathroom. The bedroom was spacious with a private terrace that had a fabulous view of Ascona and the lake. Very helpful staff and a we were made to feel very welcome by the owner. It has a comfortable well appointed lounge area on the ground floor and is tastefully decorated throughout.
It’s just a ten minute walk downhill to the lakeside and some restaurants, passing some excellent shops on the way. The walk back required more energy but wasn’t too far.

Cons:

It was low season so only a few guests though the hotel deserved more. The hotel had an electric car charging point but charged a flat rate whatever the charge, which would be a very good deal if filling up from ‘almost empty’.
The road at the bottom of the hill passes briefly through the beginning of a restricted area so Satnavs tend to avoid and send on a circuitous route. But on checking with hotel staff it’s perfectly usable for traffic going up the hill.

Hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir kommen wieder.
Pros:

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes und geräumiges Zimmer, mit einer super schönen Aussicht auf der dazugehörenden Zimmer-Terrasse.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war zu unserer vollen Zufriedenheit und abwechslungsreich.
Genügend Parkplätze direkt beim Hotel, waren auch vorhanden.
Alles Tip Top.

Cons:

Hmmmm da muss ich nachdenken, was mir nicht gefallen hat.
eigentlich kann ich nichts negatives über diese Hotel sagen.

Für ein Wochenende in Familie gut, aber nicht mehr ..
Pros:

Frühstück war ausreichend und reichhaltig, wenn man nichts und besondere Dinge achten muss oder möchte…
Die Lage und Aussicht sind sensationell schön und kaum zu finden in Ascona , wenn man in einem Hotel übernachtet..
Man ist über die Treppen sehr schnell in der Fussgängerzone und Promenade, ohne dass man das Auto bewegen muss!

Cons:

Das Hotel selbst ist leider in die Jahre gekommen und man müsste dringend investieren ..
Pool leider nicht so sauber, wie auch schon..Personal nicht besonders motiviert und auch die AbendGastro ist eher old school ( wechselnde Menu , anstatt a la carte)
Reception erst ab 7 Uhr morgens besetzt, aber leider ohne Hinweis an Gäste..daher vorab auschecken, wenn man früher los muss oder will..

Wir durften sehr erholsame u. schöne Tage verbringen im Hotel Ascona.
Pros:

Sehr schöne Lage des Hotels, sehr schöne, renovierte Zimmer, wunderbares Frühstücksbuffet, Pool vorhanden.
Insgesamt sehr sauber u. gepflegt, vom Zimmer über die Lobby wie auch die Umgebung. Das Personal war sehr nett u. zuvorkommend.

Cons:

Wir waren wunschlos glücklich.

Das Wetter war perfekt, wir konten den Pool +Balkon geniessen. Das Hotel liegt an guter Lage.
Pros:

Das Zimmer war schön - die Betten bequem, der Ausblick grandios und der grosszügige Balkon perfekt.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war schön und frisch.
Wir würden wieder kommen.

Cons:

Der Kaffee war nicht nach unserem Gusto. Das Frühstück beginnt erst um 08.00h.
Die Liegestühle waren unbequem.

Schöne Location - mit einigen Abstrichen
Pros:

Tolle Aussicht. Genug Gratis Parkplätze. Hatten ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein Apartment mit Terrasse und Seeblick.

Cons:

WiFi war nicht akzeptabel, nicht stabil und im Zimmer praktisch kein Empfang. Frühstücksbuffet sehr dürftig für ein 4* Hotel. Wir mussten beim Checkout noch anhand der Speisekarte angeben was wir am Vorabend gegessen haben! Wären wir nicht so ehrlich gewesen hätten wir wahrscheinlich CHF 200.00 gespart.

Cons:

la climatisation était réglée sur refroidissement. Nous avons poussé sur le bouton Daikin pour passer en mode chauffage (car il faisait un peu froid dans la chambre) mais cela n'a pas fonctionné. Il est vrai qu'on est au changement de saison et que le système de climatisation doit être mis à jour pour toutes les chambres qui sont reliées au même appareil clim/chauffage.

Pros:

Great location with beautiful view of the town and lake though note it is an uphill walk from town. Reception and driver were great and very friendly & helpful.

Cons:

For a 4 star hotel it's just a bit lacking. Rooms lack a bit of attention to detail (eg no cup, outlet near bed, things like kettle etc).
