We had a really great stay at Bale Sampan! The service was excellent, and the staff were always friendly and helpful with everything we needed. They helped us with food recommendations and arrangements, and were always there whenever we needed anything.

The location is great, the food was good and we felt safe eating there, the room was very comfortable, and the pool was lovely. What really stood out was the service. The team really made a difference and made our stay even better.

We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Gili Trawangan!

Pleasant and comfortable
Pros:

Nice grounds and comfortable simple smart rooms and bathroom. Breakfast was nice enough with a few choices. Most of the staff were attentive and friendly.
Some good film choices on TV to watch during relaxing times.

Cons:

The water in the shower wasn’t always very reliable and once or twice it stopped completely.

Pros:

The hotel is beautiful. The cat at the front desk is so gentle. It will lie beside you and let you pet it during breakfast. The breakfast is delicious too. There is a stunning beach right at the hotel entrance, and the staff are very welcoming.

Cons:

The toilet was not cleaned thoroughly. After wiping the toilet seat with alcohol wipes, yellow stains were still visible. There were also stains left on the vanity countertop of the sink after cleaning. The hotel is close to the prayer tower, so loud chanting can be heard starting around 4 a.m.

Great stay , would come back definitely
Pros:

Very nice rooms in App nr 2 all renovated and decorated with style. Personnel extremely friendly and supportive - you don’t really need to book activities in advance before your stay as they arrange everything for you on spots. Nice private beach and very nice restaurant

Verrassend goed!
Pros:

Een sfeervolle ruime kamer met een prachtige badkamer. Plek om je koffer open te leggen., Gastvrij personeel en een heerlijk ontbijt. Bovendien ligt het verblijf op slechts 6 minuten lopen van de aankomststeiger. Ligt aan een drukke straat met veel restaurantjes. Smal strand met gratis strandbedjes.

Cons:

De doorgezakte strandbedjes aan het strand. Een matrasje erop zou het aangenamer maken.

Lovely comfortable bungalow, one to book again on our next trip
Pros:

Very comfortable room indeed and with a lovely large bathroom (twin showers) Tastefully decorated and with everything you could need. Unlike a lot of places the longer we stayed the more we enjoyed the room. They must have an agreement with the neighbouring cafe (Taste) as that's where you enter, and where you eat. Again Taste compliments the bungalows very nicely (endless free chilled water for example) Food is great and again the more we ate there (breakfast included in accom price) the more we loved the relaxed atmosphere, good food and lovely staff. And even the cats a friendly.

Good hotel
Pros:

The property reflects the limited space available on the Gili Islands, but it is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location is convenient and makes it easy to explore the island. What truly stands out is the staff. They were incredibly helpful throughout our stay and organized the best snorkeling experience of our entire trip, always available with recommendations and practical support.

Cons:

The only small downside for us was that the atmosphere felt a little less private than we expected, as there were many Italian guests staying at the property during our visit. This is, of course, a matter of personal preference, but we generally enjoy a more international and secluded environment when travelling. That said, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend Bale Sampan to anyone looking for a comfortable base in the Gili Islands.

Pros:

Mycket fint boende med trevlig och hjälpsam personal och bra läge. Många bra ställen att sola på och snorkla med sköldpaddor i närheten. Inte mycket ljud från alla festställe. Hörde enbart moskén en natt. Älskade utomhusbadrummet. Skulle definitivt bo här igenom.
