When booking the Dinner, Bed & Breakfast rate the reservation will include GBP 32.50 per person per day to spend on food in the restaurant. For the comfort of guests, please be advised that children aged 10 years and under may not dine in The Brasserie after 18:00 each evening. Families with children are welcome to eat in Gershwin’s Bar each evening and to select from either Gershwin’s bar menu or the Brasserie menu.
Please note that the card used for booking will be pre-authorized for GBP 1 prior to arrival. This is applicable for all reservations including guests paying with cash.
The hotel requires at least one guest in each bedroom to be aged 18 years and above and reserves the right to ask guests for valid photo ID. A maximum of two guests are permitted to occupy any one bedroom. Any stay proposed for longer than 28 consecutive nights will automatically terminate after 28 days and will need to be rebooked with the hotel as a new booking.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Location was good for walking access to city centre. Spa was very quiet when we used it. Facilities in spa were great and very clean. All the staff we came across were friendly.
Decor was very grey, literally.
There were good spa facilities thought the swimming pool was smaller than I anticipated ( clever photo angle) the beds were comfortable with decent pillows ( but I don’t like the new way of tucking the duvet into the foot of the bed so you have pull hard to free it.
It was a labyrinth. Even with the one lift to the second floor we had to walk up steps as well as along miles of corridors to get to our room. Rather than ask for prepayment facilities, we had to pay for the breakfast in advance ( but not the car parking - which at £7.20 per night was daylight robbery) and we also had to pay for our meal each night. We are used to paying everything on checkout!!
Very nice hotel within easy walk of the centre. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed a good buffet breakfast. The spa exceeded my expectations and was very welcome on a miserable rainy day!
The Staff! Honestly, I felt such a welcome from the moment we stepped through the door and my opinion didn’t change throughout the visit.
The facilities in the Spa were clean and well laid out.
The restaurant staff and food made for a great night ‘in’ when it was too cold and wet to venture into town.
The room was very cold. The staff listened and even though we were told the engineer has fixed the heating it was still cold. A portable heater was installed which solved the problem.
The Spa rules regarding videoing, use of phones and respecting the need for quiet weren’t followed by two noisy irritating guests on Tic Tok 😡

Corridor door closer broken ,told reception. Kept slamming after people let it go

Didn’t get a good nights sleep as water pipes above room kept me awake all night as very noisy. Plus a function on the Sat evening lots of noise again could be heard.
The swimming pool was great. The room was lovely and quiet.
Reception area, bar and restaurant were very well decorated and furnished.
The air conditioning and extractor far were not working. The room was cold - reception supplied us with a heater.
