A 4* hotel offending 5* facilities and overall experience.

I cannot rate this hotel and its staff enough. The room was a generous size, the breakfast was excellent and all other food and drink was very reasonably priced (€7.50) for a cocktail.
The spa area is amazing and very clean.

The name of this hotel gives the clue that it’s high up and you need to walk down to Funchal or get the Bolt app. Rides were cheap or it would take less than 15 minutes to get to the centre. If you hire a car, the hotel offers free parking.

The hotel has been renovated since the photos on Tripadvisor have been loaded - check the hotel website to see what it’s really like.

Fantastic stay
Pros:

The view from the room was fantastic. We really liked the design of the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were delicious with a wide variety of choices. The wellness area was also five-star quality. We had a great stay.

A very welcome break over New Year.
Pros:

Lovely hotel with splendid views over Madeira - great for taking in the New Year fireworks. Good breakfast - especially the pancakes (included with the delux room package). Good spa facilities.

Nichts für Lärm-empfindliche Menschen und diejenigen, die auch mal in die Ecken schauen.
Pros:

Die Lage, Wellness Bereich und Aussicht als auch Design des Hotels haben uns gut gefallen.

Das Personal war auch sehr nett und stets zur Stelle.

Cons:

Nachts extremer Lärm von Fahrzeugen auf der Straße. Wir wurden jede Nacht durch vorbeifahrende Motorräder geweckt.

Das Zimmer war an einigen Stellen stark abgenutzt, obwohl es sich um ein Premium Zimmer handelte. Auch die Sauberkeit hätte besser sein können.

Keine Ablagen im Bad. Weder Handtücher noch persönliche Kosmetik konnten irgendwo aufbewahrt werden.
