My family and I went for the dim sum buffet lunch last Sunday, 8 March. It was my first time trying the buffet, although we have dined at Shui Xin many times before since it is our favorite Chinese restaurant.
The food was, as always, very delicious. I especially loved the fried rice.
This time we also met Khun Jum, the manager. She was wonderful and made our experience very memorable. She recommended several dishes for us and everything was great. The service was also much better than our visit last year in Nov 2025, which unfortunately was not a very pleasant experience.
Thank you to the chef for the delicious food and to Khun Jum for the excellent service. We will definitely come back.

Das Hotel hat einen grossen Investitionsstau. Das Mobiliar ist veraltet, die Matratzen durchgehangen, keine separate Dusche und auch keine Duschebrause, auch muss man sich mit einem Duschvorhang begnügen, die Ablagefläche rund um das Waschbecken ist fleckig und wirkt sehr schmutzig.

I stayed at Novotel Bangkok Bangna during a recent business trip and decided to visit the spa located inside the hotel, trusting the service standards associated with the Novotel brand.
Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
1. Very poor service quality
The massage I received felt more like light stroking rather than an actual massage. I asked several times if the therapist could apply stronger pressure, particularly on my legs, but the request was ignored. After about 10 minutes, I decided to stop the session and went back to the lobby because the service quality was far below expectations.
2. Private physical information discussed publicly
When I explained in the lobby that I no longer wished to continue the service due to the quality issue, the therapist was called to the lobby. In front of other staff members and guests, she mentioned a private physical matter about me and suggested that I had asked for a very gentle massage for that reason.
This statement was not accurate. The only request I had made was for an additional cushion while lying face-down, while clearly asking for stronger pressure on my legs from the beginning.
Hearing such personal physical information discussed in a public lobby environment was extremely uncomfortable and humiliating.
3. Dispute regarding service time and CCTV
The therapist insisted that I should pay for the full service time. I requested to review CCTV footage to confirm the actual start time of the massage (since time was spent changing clothes before the session began). However, only the entry time was repeatedly shown, and the footage of when the massage actually started was never provided.
After several phone calls, I was told that the spa owner had decided I should pay 600 THB. At that point I chose to pay and leave, as I did not want to spend more time arguing in the lobby.
I visited this spa because it operates inside a Novotel hotel, and I trusted the brand’s standards. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling disappointed and uncomfortable rather than relaxed.
[A note of appreciation]
Despite the situation, I would like to sincerely thank the female staff member in the navy jacket who tried to assist me in the lobby. Even while managing a busy check-in area, she remained calm and professional, which helped ease the situation.
That said, I would appreciate clarification from hotel management on whether this reflects the service standards expected from a spa operating within a Novotel property.

Super aardig personeel dat ons hielp toen we niet mee konden op de vlucht en we terugkwamen voor een extra nacht. We kregen meteen een upgrade van de kamer, ze waren superlief voor ons.
De locatie lag wat verder van het vliegveld dan gedacht.

Not near any malls (maybe 1 mrt station away).. Also will need more time to explore the area, since I'm there for a night.

2 drinks in the bar behind way too expensive, Amsrerdam and Holland are even cheeper.
