Important information:

Up to 2 children aged 17 and under can stay for free when sharing a room with up to 2 adults if suitable accommodations is available.

Great location and friendly staff, but the rooms and amenities fall short of true 4-star standards.

The location is excellent and very convenient. The stay is good if you get a room with a stadium view — that definitely adds to the experience.

The staff were charming, welcoming, and helpful throughout.

However, the room standards and amenities need improvement to truly match a 4-star rating.

Cons:

The interiors are outdated and do not reflect a 4-star standard. Basic amenities were missing — no dental or shaving kits, no safe locker, no mini fridge, no bathroom slippers, no room clock, and even drinking water was not provided.

The overall experience felt more like staying in a basic lodge rather than a 4-star hotel. Definitely not aligned with the expected category standards for the money paid.

Poor maintenance
Pros:

I have stayed here previously and gave it a 5* review. I didn’t even look at other hotels when I was coming to Norwich again as it was so good last time. The room we were given this time had a blocked bath and sink. We arrived very late at night and so decided to stay in the room rather than go to reception and ask to change rooms. When I did go down first thing in the morning we were given the key to a room opposite to use that bathroom but was not ideal as we were then back and forth across the corridor.
I struggle to believe that the cleaner did not realise that there was a blockage as the minute you turned the taps on the water started building up which left me questioning the quality and standard of cleaning.

Location and nice communal areas

Cons:

Room disappointing, heating didn’t work, lamp broken and shower gel empty. Staff apologised and provided a plug in heater but still disappointing
