An amazing place with a jaw-dropping view
Pros:

The view is just insane! You can really just chill in front of the window or on a balcony and observe the river and the old town. The location is perfect as well. Amazing for those who appreciate easy and smooth self-check-in.
The beds were very comfy. And there was an endless supply of nice coffee and tea, and some fruit (apples & tangerines).

Cons:

Some surfaces were not very clean and the curtains had some gigantic holes, but these were really minor issues.

Cons:

去年あった朝のクロワッサンサービスがなくなって、飲み物だけになっていた。係の方に電話をして聞いたところ、去年の１１月でなくなったとのこと。残念・・・。

I was very disappointed. Check-in and check-out without staff would seem convenient, but there are only 6 luggage storage boxes in an ~80-room hotel, so I couldn't leave my suitcase until the afternoon after checking out. The staff, who could be reached remotely, only spoke German and were unable to answer questions or help with basic things in English. The room was clean, but the shower stall was old, the environment was extremely noisy until 2:30 a.m., and the room was not cleaned on the weekend.

Best location in Basel :)
Pros:

The location of the hotel was one of the best things about the property. It’s very easy to get around using public transport. You can take Tram 8 from just outside the hotel (Rheingasse stop) to Bahnhof SBB and then catch Bus 50 to Basel Airport. This option requires only one transfer and takes around 32 minutes.

Alternatively, you can walk 5–6 minutes to Schifflände Bus Station (Stop G), take Bus 36 to Kannenfeldplatz and change it in Im Wasenboden, and then change to Bus 55 to Basel Airport. This option requires three transfers but takes only about 21 minutes.

Talking about the hotel itself – it’s a perfect place to stay. We had a lovely balcony facing the Rhine River, and the view was simply magnificent. The area is surrounded by plenty of cafés and restaurants to suit different tastes, but do keep in mind that prices are generally higher than London.

If you are looking for an economical lunch option, I would highly recommend visiting the COOP next to Orell Füssli bookstore. There is a fantastic restaurant on the top floor, and the food is excellent.

Most major attractions such as Basel Münster, Rathaus, the Old Town, and the Tinguely Fountain are all within walking distance. You can also use the trams, which is very convenient as hotels provide a free Basel Card for public transport – another great benefit of staying in Basel.

There’s so much more to explore that I could go on and on, but it’s best experienced in person. You can even take a tram to the borders of Germany and France — and yes, it’s all included. 🙂

Cons:

One small downside was that the hotel only has six lockers for luggage storage. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use them as they were all occupied by other guests, which was a bit disappointing since our flight to Heathrow was only in the evening after 18:50 hrs and we were hoping for a storage option.

Also, if you don’t find a key in a locker, it means it has already been taken by another guest. The lockers require a CHF 1 coin to use.

Me gustó la ubicación.

Cons:

Fuera estuvieron encendidas las farolas toda la noche y las cortinas no protegían de la luz. No vinieron a limpiar la habitación ni a hacer las camas. No había cruasanes como anunciaban. No vimos a ningún miembro del personal en la recepción ni en la cafetería en toda nuestra estancia. Fue desconcertante esto, como si fuera un hotel fantasma.

Η τοποθεσια!!! Θεωρω οι ηταν στο καλυτερο σημειο της πολης. Το δωματιο ηταν αρκετα καλο σε μεγεθος, με υπεροχη θεα στη γεφυρα!

Cons:

Το μονο αρνητικο για μενα στα δωμτια ξενοδοχειων ειναι οταν δεν εχουν ατομικες συσκευασιες ειδων (σαπουνακια, αφρολουτρα). Ειχε ενα υγρο σε συσκευασια τοιχου που ηταν και δυσχρηστο!

Pros:

Il Self check-in è molto comodo anche se un po' macchinoso e perde un po' dello scambio "umano"! L'albergo è centrale quindi davvero molto comodo. La struttura è datata ma molto ben tenuta
