I had high hopes for this hotel with the grand lobby, music, and old fashioned vibe, but didnt quite meet expectations. The location to Pikes and public transportation is excellent. Desk had enough room to work at. Temperature controls were accessible. Bed was very comfortable. USB and regular outlets by the bed. Nice big mirrors, chair, and small refrigerator. The entrance and lobby were nice. arrived early and they gave me a room.
The bathroom felt old- Wallpaper was dirty, hair (not mine) in the shower. Water was either cold or really hot. Lack of counter space. Tile on the floor and around the bottom of the walls was dusty and dirty. Lighting somewhat dim in the room as there were only lamps.
I think there are only stairs into the hotel and no one at the door to assist with luggage.
The staff, facilities, location, and value are all superb. Both restaurants are wonderful. I just can’t say enough positive comments.
Not a thing.
Location
Sehr gut
La ubicación. Y muy bueno el restaurante.
Valet parking experience was horrible, it wasted 1 hour to locate the car
Location and staff
Not a big deal, but the shower doesn’t get very hot. Warm water is usually okay, but sometimes a hot shower is really nice to relax before going to bed.
Location was excellent. Right near the train station and the monorail - literally outside the door. Restaurant was lovely and had much character. Many other points of interest nearby.
Our room was tired and dark, however was clean and ok. Whilst most hotels take a bond, they took one for each night of stay?? Of course, this can take some administration time to return back on a card if you are a traveller on a budget.
We really enjoyed our room. It was big, had two full bathrooms and a very comfortable king bed. It was close to everything we wanted to do. We would stay again for sure.
I’ve always stayed at the Mayflower. I will never stay at the Mayflower again. I stayed there at the end of December there was a mixup on what was charged. They overcharged me and I have called every three days to try to get things resolved. Nothing today has been resolved. Nobody will call me back. Richard Levine is the most inept employee ever. The accounting department sends me an email nothing that states it’s from the Mayflower just a blank email from an Alexandra. I thought it was spam, asking me where what address I want my check sent to. what are we back in the 1980s you can’t just credit my credit card for which is owed to me?
