Clean and good location
Very loud. Several parties with loud music
I loved the cozy apartment feel!
Wish you didn’t have to pay for parking
Clean apartments, nice area
the quiet hours
Location is amazing !
I recently stayed at Placemakr Marymount Ballston and, unfortunately, the experience fell short of my expectations for an extended or apartment-style stay.
While the property is modern, clean, and conveniently located in the Ballston area, it felt overwhelmingly like a traditional hotel rather than the immersive, home-like apartment environment I sought. I specifically chose this type of accommodation to enjoy a more authentic “true” experience—living like a local, engaging with the surrounding culture, community, and neighborhood vibe of Arlington. Instead, the setup, amenities, and overall atmosphere leaned heavily toward hotel conveniences (such as standardized services and transient feel), which prevented any meaningful connection to the local area or a sense of truly residing there.
This mismatch made the stay feel impersonal and unfulfilling, despite the property’s other positive attributes like its furnishings and proximity to transit. For travelers seeking a genuine apartment-like immersion in the local culture and daily life, I would not recommend Placemakr Marymount Ballston based on my experience.
I hope this feedback is useful for future improvements, as the concept has potential if better aligned with authentic extended-stay expectations.
Large room. In Center, staff good
The modern vibes and the staffing are on point. By far the best decision! I wanted to take a leap of faith, by trying someplace new, and was amazed at how pleased with the experience I had received.
No qualms
Great location and clean, comfortable and safe accommodations for the price. Mostly had everything we needed. Great value for the area. Staff was very helpful & friendly.
Can’t think of anything major.
Location was excellent…Apt was clean…Easy checkin/checkout process…Amenities
Some apt facilities weren’t working as intended…No TV remote provided…Freezer Ice Maker was not functional…Garage parking was $35/day and then had the nerve to charge extra $2.76 for tax???
Super clean, feels like home, me and my family loved it!
Nothing!

Room size and amenities were great. Loved having a washer and dryer in the room
The bed wasn't to my liking. very hard and pillows were tiny and not comfortable. I woke up with kinks in my neck and back pain every morning. Tried to open the windows in the evening when it cooled down but people on the floor below me were smoking pot all night long. There was also a dog left alone in the room next to me that barked for hours and there was a party all night long across the hall with people arguing. Saturday night was the worst, with loud street sounds and police sirens well into the night.
I really appreciate the cleanliness of our room and the amount of closet space the apartment had to offer. I appreciated the baking pan and other amenities that were also provided. (Except no spatulas lol)
The streaming app features on the television wouldn’t work, along with the remote that would only turn the TV on and off. The living room area was a bit cold, wish it had a carpet to secure to comfort aspect of the place. Lastly, the walls were pretty thin so I often woke up from my sleep thinking someone was walking around.
