By The Sea

Wir hatten eine ganze Wohnung mit 2 Schlafzimmern.

I have been travelling Asia for 6 months and never had to give a bad review, but this resort has too many things that need to be shared. I selected a room that showed a photo of a room on the top floor over looking the ocean with a veranda. I booked for 3 nights. When I arrived, I was given a room on the ground floor. When I questioned the room difference, I was told I could not be moved to the top floor. I said I didn’t like the fact that people could walk by the room and see in the window. I was assured nobody would be there. The bed was hard as rock and I heard every footstep from the people next door to me and above. Not just heard but felt the room vibrate when they walked across their room. It was still going on a 2am in the morning. I even could hear them urinate and flush the toilet. It was like sleeping in an old motel (which it looks like from the outside) I did not sleep a wink all night. I was sitting up in bed in the morning and a man was outside taking photos right outside my room. The restaurant had a terrible smell of off fish. I was told it was coming from the sea but may have been the reason I was the only one in it. The food was overpriced and bland. The breakfast served cordial and the fresh fruit was finished when I went to eat and they had no more to replace it. I told the man at reception that I could not spend another night without sleep and said I was going to look for another hotel. I asked if would I be refunded the next 2 nights which I had paid for. He said yes, and gave me the number for reservations to issue the refund. Thankfully I found a heavenly place not too far away. When I contacted the reservations manager, they refused my refund. There are so many other places around this area. Don’t be fooled by the colorful photos. There is also a huge 6g tower on the doorstep if you and your children like being bathed in radiation.

the lunch food was ok. the breakfast food was ok as well. they provided free water. they had bicycle rental that was free. the AC worked well.

La habitación anunciada aquí no se parece a la que te dan, la recámara es obscura y sin ventanas, la habitación es tipo departamento por lo que la ventana está en la sala, el chico de la recepción que me recibió no me explicó nada y muy lento para hacer el check in, el restaurante es bueno, el área de alberca muy buena y la mayor ventaja es que está en la orilla del mar

Good stay in By the Sea. Lovely and friendly staff. The rooms were clean, big and have really good sea views. The bed was comfortable and overall the state of our rooms were exemplary. We were provided with a beach bag with mat, towels and umbrella. Perfect for days out on the beach! Breakfast options were rather limited as you have to order your hot food as opposed to buffet. There is buffet though for fruits, salads and pastries. The location was perfect for a quiet stay in Phuket. Would recommend renting a car though if planning to do touristy stuff as it’s quite far from the main touristy areas. Overall, lovely stay.

Location

Older Hotel, hotel on a deep slope, lots of steps down to pool/breakfast area/beach, spacious/clean/tidy rooms. Staff spoke limited English, unable to assist when requested Medical assistance.

Ground floor room we had was 20ft from the restaurant or pool and a few steps to the sea and beach

All was good
